Default New NOS plate system=Rough idle??

Just installed a new plate system and now I have a bad idle. Idles under 500.
The LS6 intake I have is brand new so I don't foresee the intake side gaskets being bad. I can hear a bad vacuum leak near the throttle body. The kit included a a paper gasket to put in between the tb and plate and I was wondering if maybe that gasket is whats bad? Does anyone else have any suggestions?
Is this common for plate systems?

Thanks in advance for looking and your help!

is your intake manifold torqued to specs? if not it will create idle issues . a while back ago i had the nis plate my gasket was ripped and had no issues

take a can of carb spray and spray where you hear the air leak and it should change the idle when the leak sucks in the carb spray. that should tell you where its leaking.

yeah it sounds like a leak at the plate to manifold. Are your hoses hooked up or the ends capped off?? If not it could be pulling air in at the jet fittings.

Yeah all the hoses, wires, connections were all tripled checked.

I will try the carb cleaner tonight.

Now if it is the gaskets by the tb, are their alternative gaskets?
