My Holly HP125 is internally regulated to like 7 psi or some ****. So I can only go so high before that kills it.

higher fuel pressure works better. but the jetting changes, thats all. think of it this way. you have a 5psi regulated flow the air changes by 2000 da you reflow and have 4.75 now. you have changed your fueling by 5% not you have 10 and 9.75 it only changed 2.5% the tune ups stay closer. also if you flow fuel thru the nozzle the pressure moves up the spray pattern is better.

just my opinion....

The direct port is on a controller, and I have even got crazy enough as to hit the button while the direct port is armed and spraying, still no issues..

So thats 350ish shot of nitrous, on a 7 range plug, with 13.67:1 compression in a 600ishrwhp NA motor... All in a car that is over 4000lbs..
not exactly what most would recommend or think is possible, but its what I have learned I can get away with.... Sorry if that upsets you...

My advice and information is no less valid than yours. As long as we are both speaking from personal experience based on what we have learned through fooling around and racing our own cars...

Just goes to show you how one mans tune up could be another mans time bomb..
So what does it run with a 350 shot on it?

daily driver/fun street car.

never seen the track with a 350shot...

Its my first ls car.. built mustangs before this... I just wanted to do a nitrous/big motor build because it was never an option with a mustang..

Not really my thing.

moving to a smaller motor with a turbo and probably putting the ls7 motor in a race car.

Just a question, whats your compression ratio again? I didn't see it.

I'd bet money it would not live thru a 1/4 mile pass on 350.

You are giving terrible advise.

Mustangs are gay.

This thing has seen a lot more abuse than it ever would running down a 1/4 mile track. 170mph cruises down the freeway and back to back joyrides up and down the street when people ask me how fast it is. Racing sport bikes with 4 passengers. Hell letting my chick drive me home when I get too drunk and watching her bounce of the limiter and miss gears as we all scream "race him race him! Hit it hit it!"

I don't think I have really given any advice in this thread. Simply sharing my experiences. And Letting it be known what I like, and what I feel comfortable with.

What he means is you have never held your foot down for 10 or 11 for all we know seconds it would take to go thru the 1/4 if you did 1 of 2 things would happen. it would melt **** or it would desiel smoke cause its to rich and under timed making your 350 actually make 150... no way you have any clue...

Waaa waaa waaaah

And because my car weighs 3000lbs and is only a "cam only" car that "makes half the power a half serious motor like his does" makes it SOOOOOO easy to hook and go 1.29 60' every single time like it's clockwork.

Of course he'd be able to do SOO much better!

I bet he is going to **** when the 435 C5R headed motor goes in my "race car"!

Ok guys, I have something to look at now. I got video of a wot pull on the road and two plugs to view.

But first..... I had a last minute decision to switch the plate to a zex black out perimeter plate for hopes of better distribution.

So the tune up is a 57 n a 61 fuel, 5.5 psi flowing through the 57 jet into a fuel can. 27 deg of timing, down from 36 deg. So I pulled 9 to be really safe. The lc-1 was at 11.5:1. I came back on the last pass with a 59 F jet and the lc-1 was at 11.7:1 and I could not pull a plug on that run. I had a cop behind me so I got out of dodge.

I was using the nano bottle.

How does this look?

Plug #1 on the left and #7 on the right. This was killing it at wot at about 6000 rpm's and costing to a stop and pulling them out and boxing them up. I shut the ignition down then everything else.

Here is how the car leaves on motor now. This is a 1.32 60'. This is on a good track. I'm hoping for a 1.27-1.30 60' on this shot once I get it to leave on the shot.

Rich as a dog, and as Wayne said no projected tip plugs.

Go buy some NGK B8EFS and B9EFS.

I told you that having the fuel jet bigger than the nitrous jet was no good and that you would need to flip the two. Put a 61n in and a 57f in and drop it to 5.25psi. Keep timing the same.

Also if you limit the idle time to as little as possible it will really help us be able to read the heat on the strap.

It looks like you live on that road? If so, put the new ones in and run it up through the gears on the nitrous to get a longer run in on the plugs so we and you can see what it will look like through out a run like you would on the strip.

I also think it has too much timing in it. As you lean it out with the timing mark already in the bend where it is now it will advance even further. Pull two more degrees out of it also and disregard my first post saying leave it the same.

There was no idle time on the plug. It was wot and I killed it at 6000 rpms going down that road and I pulled two plugs in the street and boxed them up. I put two used 8's in there.

I was wondering about these plugs. I will get another set asap. But I am going to the track tonight so they will have to do for now. I will run them tonight and cut then apart tomorrow and take pics.
I will pull 2 deg more and flip the jets tonight.

They should be ok, just don't make a habit of it.

I wasn't trying to sound like an jerk earlier either, just re-read that post and the "I told you" comment could of sounded like that.
