CompuCar bottle heater??

CompuCar bottle heater?? MTI sells them for 80 bucks...are these any good compared to the others?? I know the others run off of a thermostat, I wonder if this one is at a constant temp all the time...this is the cheapest one around (100 bucks cheaper that the others)

Re: CompuCar bottle heater?? I've got one. It is a bare bones unit with no pressure control device. I have to keep an eye on my pressure gauge at all times...it'll easily overpressurize the bottle if left unchecked.

Re: CompuCar bottle heater?? Worth it? It's right for me. I like to be in total control of things. The pressure controlled warmers have too narrow of a heating area for me. But, you get what you pay for and this warmer is cheap for a reason. I have to be in the right frame of mind but I like to stay focused while driving at all times anyway. If you want to be able to chill and not ever have to worry you should go with one of the other kits.
I've accidentally gotten the pressure to 1500 psi...gauge pegged. The safety valve on the bottles is set to open at ~3000, so there was no risk of that but anything above 1200 is stressful on solenoids. Optimum is between 1000-1150.

Re: CompuCar bottle heater?? Remember, you get what you pay for, Its nice to have the peace of mind. If you don't have a in cabin pressure gauge (more$$) you can install the one I have for sale and turn it on and not worry about it (NX Thermostatically controlled unit)

Re: CompuCar bottle heater?? LoL, I'm going to have the bottle mounted inside the car anyways, right on the driveshaft hump...I guess I can just peak at the gauge every 30 seconds, whats the safest pressure to run?

Re: CompuCar bottle heater?? BIGBOS, you'll want to have pressure at a min of 900 PSI for the wet kit, at least that was my experience with it. If you start droppin below 900 you will notice the difference. 1050 is sweet!
