Ok is thier any down side to not running a relay I wired the wot to the noid and use my window switch as a ground interrupter so I won't spray below 3000 rpm or hit my red line

 

System ran great tonight only down side I can think of is it might burn out the wot switch witch I think is a fare trade off for the cleaner look and system actually working

 

unless the micro switch fails closed due to overheating and costs you a motor. Relays are a necessity for safety.

 

Or in my world of grudge racing, it goes open and doesn't spray and you lose money on a race.

 

If you have ground wired into a wire that carries 12 volts it not interrupting it, it's causing a short.

Short with no relay=FIRE

 

It's not causing a short. if it sticks open that is bad and I didn't think of that just though if it went that it would fail off lol guess I will try and figure out the relay

An electrical short is where current flows from the battery, and then somewhere directly to the body chassis or metal which is a direct ground and full unchecked amperage. Since current flows from the battery then direct to ground, it has taken a "short" cut to ground thus creating an electrical "short circuit".
If a wire is shorting to ground without going through a fuse, it will get extremely hot and burn through if current flows long enough, sometimes taking only a few seconds. If a short exists on a fused circuit, then the fuse gets too hot and quickly melts the element inside, thus breaking the circuit and protecting the wires of that circuit.

I wired in the relay to wires were pined incorrectly on the harness I will say system worked great with out but feel beter with it thanks for the help
