Whiteltone stock cube beater V2.0
Well it's been over a month since we went out last, I think we ended with a 6.09@116?? We have since made a few revisions.
Nicks original motor was built 5 years ago as part of his swap from his 396lt1 to the LS world. It was going to be a street/strip car.. Well after I got it apart I realized just how "street" it was.. The old engine was just at 10:1 compression, so I suppose our 6.09@116 with 200 jets in the plate wasn't all bad..
I just got the cam degreed and got the rest of the short block together. It's now 12:1, sporting some new Compstar rods, polished factory crank with a few little tricks just to make it spin a little easier. And the top half of the engine remains the same, except we did send the plate system to Steve @ Induction Solutions so he could tell us just how out of whack it was.... and it was....
So Nick should be picking the engine up tomorrow, and get it stuffed back in the car, I'm taking Friday off to help him finish it and then to the track we go Friday to see what the new bullet has got!

6.06@116 is what we went with a stock cube ls1, 10:1 compression, custom ground cam, Dart 230's and a Vic Jr with a NX plate kit(200 jets) and a Quick Fuel 850 carb. Car is about 3,000lbs..

Hopefully still under 3000lbs. Car has been 118 in 1/8th on old shortblock. Good news is we put a little more thought into this setup and with it being a true nitrous motor and the fact i finally took my dress off, im looking forward to good results!

After a slight hang up last night into this morning, and a few minor adjustments. Nick just left the shop with the new bullet and is heading home, to sleep... Then get the engine stuffed in the car and ready for tomorrows track rental.. Tomorrows weather is forecasted @ about 60* with relative humidity under 40%, I hope the track is on kill because this bitch is gunna rock!

Got 2 spray hits on the car Saturday.. First hit went 9.58@130 with a 1.40 60', Nick got caught off guard when it started going OTB for the first time in it's life..
2nd hit it went 9.53@143 with a 1.48 60' track started going away.
Should be going back out tomorrow or Wednesday. She makes plenty of HP on the 200 jets! Just gotta fine tune the first 330' of the track.
