Atempts at the record
We figured we would hit a 1/4 mile track to see what the car would do. We are having a time keeping it off of the bumper even with limiters. We made 2 passes yesterday the first was 9.35 @ 144.5mph. The 60ft was a 1.44 but that was with the rear tires. It was going on the bumper and had to peddle some. We tightened up the front shocks put her on kill and it went staright to the bumper, busted the oil pan on the landing. Thats pretty much going to be it for us until Feb. Since we have to swap a new oil pan I am going to go ahead and pull the trans because I have a glide being built now.

i wish i had a glide! good luck with the progress, its getting there, keep the front down! at indy, we had my car strapped w/ only 3" of travel. i would add more power until it spins and then back it down a little to find out what wheel speed she likes, or you could mess with tire pressure some.
For the longest time I was blowing the tires off. Finally figured out the problem and then it started going to the bumper every time. We just put limiters on it and yesterday was our first time to the track with them. They are set with 3.5 inches of travel, front shocks were on 3 and rears were on 9, single adjustables. I think we are leaving at 3400 rpm with a 4000 stall. That's was the settings for the vid above, the 9.3 pass. We went up a click on the front shocks trying to keep the front down and on the next pass it went up again but we got the oil pan and had to call it a day. That's one reason I am going with the glide. We will be able to up the shot and make more power but it won't hit the tires as hard from the line.

I can't let her go now, we are on a roll! It's hard to not give up sometimes because it does not come easy. But you can hit the track and it all comes together and makes it all worth it.
Yeah that's the way it goes sometimes. I just hate having to wait until Feb or so before we can get back to the track. But the changes we are making should really help out
