Default Need spark plug help!

Hey guys, I recently picked up a 99 trans am, and the previous owner had a dry 75 shot installed on it. my question is as with most new cars I buy I want to do a full tune up, plugs, wires, etc. I have a set of TR55IX plugs for LS1 laying around the shop, will they be too hot for the 75 shot? I'm new to the nitrous scene, and in all honesty when I do run it, it'll be a rare occurrence, at least for awhile until I get accustomed to nitrous.

I'm just curious if I need to worry about running something like ngk br7ef when i'm not going to spray too often, and it being a 75 shot.

i've sprayed a 100 wet shot in my 5.3 with those plugs and had no problems. however i did just go one step colder because i plan on upping the shot to a 150.

i wouldn't recommend it. If you run just a hair to much timing the tip on that plug will be melted off. Those are projected tip plugs and can burn the straps quickly. I would change them out to non projected tip plugs if you are looking to spray. I would rather you be safe than sorry.

Some people notice a little difference with the BR7's but on the flip side some people don't notice a difference at all. I can give you this much info. If you NA tune on the 7 plug you shouldn't see any performance or running problems.

If i were you, i would buy a set of NGK BR7EF (3346) and put them in your car. Gapped at .035. Drive around and see if you notice any difference. The safety alone on nitrous will be more than enough for me to run them. Plus they are a $1.99 - $2.25 ea. Its not much money to have some piece of mind.

Iridium tips are so fine they can be nipped with increased heat from the nitrous as well and cause running problems.
