BTW, only the top of that remote tank (for this car) can be used for the return fuel line from the regulator. The top return port does not have a line that dips down to the bottom of the container. Learned this (hard way) last night.

You know it. That little "L", better known as the passenger windshield wiper bold down, had to be dealt with. : )

If you look close, I salvaged as much as I had to in case I wanted to put wipers back in.

what forced you to do all the cutting?

Why did you run the crossover on the rear of the manifold, instead of the front (just to be clean?)? And was there no other place to mount the purge cleanly? I dont spy your MAP sensor? Did you move it? and did you have trouble with the vacuum port interfering? What about the small vacuum for the HVAC? (or have you removed yours)

I'm highly interested, as I am planning a DP for my c5z that also has a F102 and really want it to keep a clean appearance as much as possible (which is why I am thinking new fuel rails and the NO rails), but kinda of leery to cut the cowl....

Oh, and how much n2o are you planning

(it is also scary how similar your setup is to the one I am building, down to cam duration (I'm 247/255 on a 113+3), lol)

Oh, and what was your problem with the stand alone fuel system? Did you use the NO system? Isnt the return/regulator pretty simple?

(not my picture, I 'borrowed' it.)

The main reason I cut it is because of intake clearance. (See photo below) Note, I do not have stock motor mounts and they ~may be slightly higher than the old ones. You may not see the same problem.

This made a nice clean approach for the fuel cross-over and purge valve.
When I put the windshield wiper cover back on, a lot of this stuff will disappear from view.

MAP sensor is on back of FAST. Neither of the vacuum lines was a problem.

I went with the LS7 shorty injectors and FAST rail only to lower the entire DP setup. As you know clearance is at a premium near the hood in this car,
in particular the front of the intake.

NOTE: Use FAST RAIL KIT 146027 for the short injectors or
146032 for the tall injectors on this intake.

As you have stated, you can move the purge and the crossover fuel line up
front and probably mount this thing without cutting cowl. You may get away with using the tall injectors, but you will have to be very careful up front on
hood clearance.

Not sure yet on the nitrous. I would like to check cylinder to cylinder fuel mix on plugs and then go from there.

Our remotes are close but don't exactly look alike. Neil had stated I could use either line as the return, but thats not true on mine. When I did this to angle the regulator for easier access, it will not build pressure. The reason is on mine, the upper port is connected to nothing except the shell of the tank and returns at the very top of the tank. Only the lower line is outgoing from the pump on my tank. I have no idea about that one in the pic.

Oh, okay, that makes sense. I had minimal clearance (but had some) with the stock mounts, I put washers between the subframe and frame rails to lower the subframe and therefore engine to get additional clearance. I didnt like that I changed steering and suspension geometry doing that. So I am pulling those out, and going with the Hinson motor mounts, the shorter than stock ones....

The remote tank I posted was the Nitrous Outlet tank/system for c5 corvettes.

I guess once i start putting things back together I will start mocking it up and see what works.

Dont really want to change from my tall 60lb injectors unless I have to... one less thing to buy...
