Cam and 75 shot
Cam and 75 shot 224/.281 Texas speed cam full bolt on and want to spray a 75 shot dry. I need some opinions. Should I just get 2 degrees timing pulled for
My dynotune I'm gonna get? Should I stiffen up my shifts and spray through them or should I get a window switch? Can my stock fuel pump and injectors handle a cam and 75 shot? Reliably? Also what would your shift at?? I have bee hive springs and chrome poly pushrods. Stock ls1 intake! Thanks guys

75 shot wont even tickle an LS1 - I cant imagine you'd even feel a real hit. If your going to go through all the trouble of installing nitrous I'd spray an LS1 with at least 125. Yes you can spray a bone stock LS1 with 125 dry no problem. If something breaks it was on its way out anyways. Wait for a few guys to chime in, as I've helped set up nitrous kits but dont have a whole lot of experience actually using them racing.
Do you have advanced timing over stock? If so i'd definitely take 2-3 degrees out. Also are you asking should you pull this timing out of your n/a tune, or are you going to pull the timing via a timing puller....i.e. MSD timing twister or a LNC-2000? If it's off your n/a tune I wouldn't pull it personally, but that's up to you. Is the car a manual? If so i'd definitely get a window switch
Without looking at the injector duty cycle I can't really tell you where you're at injector wise. I figure your car is putting down somewhere in the 360-370rwhp range and the stock fuel pump is good to about 450. So with that in mind, know that above a 75 shot you're about out of pump and I would assume the same goes for the injectors. Pulling timing is a necessity. Spark plugs are a necessity as well. The NGK BR7's will be what you need. As far as a window switch goes yes you should use one. You will shift where you normally do.
Thanks guys, I was thinking about just pulling 2 degrees out of my n/a tune so i didnt need to hassle and spend the money for a timing twister. the car is a auto. ill definitely be doing a window switch. my goal is 400rwhp for this summer. the cam is not yet installed. so right this second it is just a full bolt on car. i really cant afford fuel pump and injectors right now. would you just hit it with the 75 dry and be done till i can get pump and injectors? or do the cam and lower the shot to just 50 so im not pushing my pump but still hitting 430ish rwhp? thanks guys!
Okay if it were me i'd do the cam for now, and wait until you can do things the right way with the nitrous...then you could do a 100-150 shot as well. I would not feel comfortable push my stock fuel system to the absolute edge like you are talking here. That's just my opinion...

Not much to be gained from porting the LS6 intake from what I hear, but a ported TB, a underdrive pulley, and a good ram air like a SSRA or Chris1313 would help towards that number. Just remember that dynos can vary, so if you don't make 400 rwhp don't get discouraged

Im not sure if you will hit 400whp with a small cam and though your auto transmission.
That's why I wanted to do the 75 shot
Then you won't have to worry about pump, injectors and lots of timing being pulled out of your NA tune.
The more you spray the more your NA tune will suffer. When you spray a dry shot you have to add the fuel in your tune. So your NA tune will be missing a few degrees of timing and it will run hella rich. At least with a 30 shot your NA tune won't suffer that much compared to say a 75 shot.
When you're ready for more (with better fueling) just up the shot.
400rwhp = stock motor and a 100+ shot...no cam needed 
And for a student that I am assuming is going to be relying on the vehicle for daily transportation, it will be more dependable/economical as well
