Default Who here is running Heads/Cam & Spray on a stock bottom end?

I'm trying to find out who is doing it, and how well the cars are holding up. I'd appreciate any feedback to my questions.

1. How much are you spraying (rwhp please)?

2. How much rwhp/tq were you making before spray?

3. How long (in mileage) have you been spraying w/ Heads/cam?

4. How often do you spray?

5. Any engine or tranny related problems (I have everything else taken care of)

6. What other "safety" type mods did you add to prevent stress/other problems associated with nitrous? (i.e. fuel pump, progressive controller, etc...)

Check my sig. I run T-rex fuel pump and 30lb injectors and LS1 edit. Lots of power and a ton of TRQ. Bottom end is still stock. I will tell you she runs like a mother. Haven`t got any times, i don`t have a cage yet. But I feel 10`s 1/4 are for sure. I had to rebuild the tranny, second day out I sprayed her and toasted 3-4 gear. That sucked But she runs like crazy

I just cracked a piston after over 14 months of abuse. Stock bottom end, TNT 100 shot, about 1 bottle a week, went through a few clutches, I spin her to 6700. See sig for the rest of the info. BTW, I have 28lb injectors and an intank Walbro 340 from ARE. My setup would have lasted much longer had I not beat the living **** out of it.

1. How much are you spraying (rwhp please)?

I'd like to know that too. I used a TNT F1 kit, used the 150rwhp jettings but ran low bottle pressure in hopes of richening it up a bit. It worked

2. How much rwhp/tq were you making before spray?

Not sure, will have it dyno'd next week w/ new combo.

3. How long (in mileage) have you been spraying w/ Heads/cam?

A few thousand miles, a few bottles.

4. How often do you spray?

At the track, not really needed on the street that much

5. Any engine or tranny related problems (I have everything else taken care of)

Burnt piston issues when sprayed in 5th once (bad move on my part, taken care of by FMS). Clutch issues (taken care of by Cartek). Rear end issues (taken care of by Moser). Traction issues (taken care of by ET Drags).

6. What other "safety" type mods did you add to prevent stress/other problems associated with nitrous? (i.e. fuel pump, progressive controller, etc...)

Walbro 340M fuel pump, 1998 LS1 injectors, FPSS, WOT switch, BOV downpipe for bottle, window switch (high pill set 100rpm before my MSD rev limiter pill).

Nitrous is good stuff!

Hope you got a good deal on refills. It sure is addicting isn't it?
