Default Timing Retard

I am going to be installing http://www.nitrousoutlet.com/direct-...t-w-rails.html this fall on a 92mm FAST (don't want to cut the cowl and lower the engine for the 102) in my 2000 C5. I know I need to retard the timing (going to start with a 100 shot, then move up to a 200 or 300 shot) but I am not sure how this would be done. I know on my '91 camaro I would use a timing retard box, but have no idea how to do it on my C5.

Bump and sorry to hijack but I'm interested in this as well.... Do you guys think the lnc2000 is better than hp tuners for tuning nitrous ?

I might be misunderstanding you, but the LNC-2000 isn't tuning software, it's just a box that allows you to pull timing when you turn on the nitrous, rather than pulling the timing in your tune and sacrificing N/A hp.

No I know the lnc isn't running software, I'm just trying to justify getting the lnc or getting hp tuners ( which i would be using mostly for pulling timing) I'd probably be doing the ait thing ... Sorry for any confusion.

As for cost I know HP tuners is high, unless our really gonna use it to tune with, I'd say the lnc is the ticket. Plug in to the coil packs, hook the trigger wire, set the dial, bam. Spray.

Personally I think wiring the LNC into your system activation is the way to go. Drive normally when you're NA, kick the system on, timing comes out and you're ready to go. Doesn't get much easier.
