random question about a record

Default random question about a record

I highly doubt this has ever been discussed as there are so many variables with factory options on these cars and what not. But I had my own personal goals in line since day one and wondering if anyone else has ever looked into this.

Is there a stock bottom end, FULLY factory optioned, nitrous record? I mean, power steering, a/c, heat, 4l60e over drive, etc.


The reason I think this would be so hard to figure out is some cars had no t tops, some had cloth manual seats, etc. My car is hard loaded, power leather interior, power everything, traction control etc. So I dunno, i guess to just make it more basic, is there a nitrous stock block record for people that left everything in tact on their 4th gens? no trans brake or 4l80 swaps, etc. legit factory optioned cars with stock blocks.

that's kinda my point, it's a bit more specific hence why I figured there wouldn't be a definitive answer. I appreciate your attempted humor tho.

I think it would be too hard to differentiate/police between the setups. Someone could claim full interior and have just the plastic panels like my car and yada yada. Just my 2cents. But set a goal and go after it. Thats what makes it soo much fun. There is alot of internet records. Theyre sweet to chase after for sure but with all of them out there its hard to know whats what.

Founding member. Lol. And yea We are at every rsd yes. I won't post my times due to the nature of racing we do if I decide to put a bigger motor in or change from nitrous I will share my times from this combo then. Sorry. But it is a stock bottom end, fully factory optioned nitrous car. So it's nothing special.
Do u go to rsd's? Things have been really picking up there, car count is up and alot of action.

Ur such a ***** tommy. Ill still bust u up even if I have to add weight to my car to keep u from crying lol. Anyways. I keep hearing ur car ran good the other night. Now text me and share times since u know mine already. I'm not even grudge racing anymore

Yea..not a ton. But should be there this month. Looking to take wig splitter down a couple pegs.

I can tell you that it is in the 9's for sure. My car is t top, power accessories , a/c,4l60e. Has stock heads, intake, throttle body. Stock bottom end including rod bolts. Does have cloth seats. It has been in the 9's weighing 3525 lbs raceweight. Oh and it is pewter.

It has been 9.70's on a .078 jet in a Nitrous Outlet Plate. Had 4.11 in it then and that was going through the traps @7400-7500. Took some gear out and I have a .093 jet in it now.

I dont think they separate the list to just fbody's but i have air, navigation and believe i can take the SS record with maybe a 125 shot from what i can see its 9.31 with a 300 shot

That is an F body record. I think the SBE vette record is in the 9.30's too, but, is a blower car. It is listed on the corvette forums. I don't think you will do it with a 125 shot though. Only one way to find out.

yes that car is an fbody, what im saying is the list isn't stickily fbody yes once i break into the 9s NA i will give the spray a try at the track

how much do you think i will get et wise and mph, with the 125 shot, its ran on the NA tune with fuel cell with c16, i dont pull any timing everything checks out fine

How much timing you run on your n/a tune and what gear and converter do you have? Also you talking about stand alone cell and what is your compression ?

well the car went 10.16 NA almost 107 in the 1/8 and 131 in the 1/4 has been 132 on a green track in march, i was launching soft 2000 rpm and part throttle roll, about 2 cars out, with a 1.35 60 ft, In the fall with a great seasoned and prepped track i believe a 9s pass NA will be done, the converter is 3800 yank power adders series, the timing is 26 max the comp is 11.3 and yes it an NX high pressure stand alone, i tried it with c16 and tr6 projected NA plugs and logged with hp tuners no KR, plugs read fine, and the water temp dropped while spraying to 165mph stayed in the 180s, I will try bre7 and tune the jets when I go for a spray pass. i will change the front shocks and go with a bigger tire so i can spray once the wheels lift, anything at 1.34 and below both fronts come off NA
