I have a Whisper lid, had to cut it,(like I am sure everyone does) and the damn thing will not seal good at all. <img border="0" title="" alt="[Sad]" src="gr_sad.gif" /> I even tired another whipser lid and they do not fit. My buddy has a MTI lid and that seems to work. Does anyone use this lid? Thanks.

What are the rest of you using for lids with a TNT wet kit?

 

Whisper carbon fiber here. Works great. I think it all has to do with how you cut it to fit the power ring. Goodluck

 

We've found that the MTI lids work a little better for us.

 

I have the Whisper lid Ihad to cut about a half of a inch off of it but mine is a camaro it fits on a little different!

 

I can't hep on what lid will work better, but dont be afraid to seal up the lid yourself. I've scuffed the surface of my wisper lid and used spray adhesive to fasten adhesive-backed foam insulation to it. If you're really hard core just use some black duct tape around the outer perimeter to fully seal it.

I have an MTI Lid and it doesn't fit for sh*t. I had to build up a 1/2 lip all the way away with non hardening silicon... AND Silicon around the IAT sensor... now it seals good..

MTI lid with a TNT Wet Kit here; no problems, no silicone and no trimming.

 

Here is a trick for you.Cut your lid back so the clamp just about fits.Heat up the lid with a heat gun till it gets soft,then slide the whole setup on the car and tighten down the clamps.The lid will form around the MA for an air tight seal <img border="0" title="" alt="[Smile]" src="gr_stretch.gif" />

same lid problem I have the SLP lid cut it just does not fit I'am going to get MTI lid see if that works cuz I'am rich and can afford another lid ya right but I think if cut the rubber sleave or get a new one and trim it , it will fit fine but dont want to **** that up also so I just taped it for now to seal it.
