Default 5.7l

Is it possible to spray 200-300 with a stand alone on a 5.7 if you redo the bottom end? Would like to run it approximately a year. Car has h/c/I Rwhp 420 on motor. Or is it possible with a good tune and not touch the bottom end? I have read where some on here have sprayed 250 without any complications. Would like to know what kind of set up is need to do this thanks. If you don't wanna post please pm me, thanks.

200 is no big deal on a stock bottom end. You better know what you are doing with a 300, but it can be done. I suggest you work your way up to it. A stand alone is a great start. Run good fuel, a cold plug, and keep the timing low.

I wouldn't spray a 200 shot on the stock bottom end with 420 rwhp already

You really don't think 600 + rwhp (not to mention the torque lol) is too much? I'm not saying it's not possible, but every tuner, LS1 specific shops, etc....have all told me that would simply be too much for the stock bottom end

No I dont think its too much. You do realize that people are hitting these things with well over 300 right?

No I guess I didn't realize a 300 shot was doable on the stock bottom end. How long are these motors lasting with shots like that?

I wouldn't expect it to last forever, but if you don't screw up it will last a long time. Carter has been spraying that much or more for years, and I don't think his car has ever had a wrench on the motor mounts.

I'd say 200max for anyone that's no t familiar with nitrous. I spray my cam only setup with a 62jet and have almost gone in the 9s and I still have room to play with on that shot. I could probably add some timing take some fuel out and do it pretty easy. I'm in no rush. I'm still learning.

Wasn't carter and camcam sprayin around 325ish? But they have a lot of knowledge to be spraying that hard for multiple passes and keeping it alive. Knowledge I wish I had lol

You can have that knowledge by just talking with guys on here and YB.com and join up on Steve Johnson's forum on his site. You can get nitrous help from the man himself.
