Who's spraying the SS3800?
Just curious, is anyone on this board sprayin the new SS3800 vertor,if so what results have ya got, please share. Thanks. I am looking to add this vertor to my mods with my 150 wet shot and new Grott long tubes with Y pipe, and am curious on your results. so that i can form realistic expectations for this spring when the Michigan tracks are opening-this is a winter project. Dave.
I just got the SS3800 installed. No nitrous yet, but my understanding is that this converter real shines with nitrous. I'll be adding the new direct port NXL kit from NX when it becomes available in Feb. I'm also adding the Jet Hot LT's and the QTP y pipe w/ cutouts. Sounds like we will be running similar mods. Good luck.
Dave,
The conveter is great. Driving around town is fine. And it does go pretty good on motor alone. I don't really know what to compare it to, but the car just pulls now. With the stock tires on, I put it to the floor at about 10mph. The car just laid rubber until I let off the gas. Haven't even tried it from a dead stop, but imagine it will be impossible to hook up without drag radials or more likely ET streets. From a roll, the car just goes and goes. From 40mph, you hit it and the next thing you know you're at 80mph. I don't really know how it compares to the other conveters out there, but I am very please so far with around 300 miles on it. I think it will really show its value come this spring at the track. I know there are cheaper converters out there, but the Yank SS just seemed to be the best of the bunch for what I wanted to do.

Hey,Big thanks for all the info, now i,m starting to get really excited about swapping the SS3800 from the stock vertor. I have been totally impressed with my SS since new , i traded in my Saleen Mustang to get it and have not regretted it 1 bit. Lets compair slips in the spring just for grins. Thanks, Dave.
I hope to be spraying my SS3800 real soon. Ordering the NX maf kit in the next day or so. I'll let you know asap after I spray it. Love it NA so far.

Well no SS3800 for me,i just bought a Vig 3600 vertor for a smokin deal. Sorry just could not pass up the price. Hopefully i did not make a mistake,I am getting it restalled to a 3200 for better use on NITROUS. Wish me luck, thanks. Dave. Tracks here are closed till spring time. All i will have is seat of the pants to go by till then, and only when the roads are clean. But not expecting much with the ice cold roads and hard tires,ya know.
