Get's down for sure, I am a bit skeptical about the 1.15 60' and the "1.20" on the back tires however..
The first car in this video is a 1.21 60' at arguably one of the best tracks in the country, with more motor, in a "lighter" car...

Congrats OP, that was a great run. I wouldn't get too comfortable with the record, as it seems to be "falling" every other week.

Yeah, you might want to get that track to check their equipment. Shiz and ATV's car cuts 1.18 60's with a 460 cube motor at under 3000 lbs

I have watched this car steadily make time improvements through out time. He was running 9:30s on a 78mm intake with our plate system for a while. As impressive as his times are I have no reason to believe its not true.

I'm not trying to hate on him or anything, bc the lord knows everyone was hating on us when we were doing big things with the stock cube motor... It just seems a bit un-realistic.. I've helped on some big HP 275 cars that 60' that well, and make about 900+ more HP..

Did it come close to backing that # up that night?

the car was probably making killer power all motor considering it was probably negative DA. would like to see a pick of the slip to see what the DA was.

^^^^I second this. It takes a good bit of power or alot of weight reduction to cut 1.15's.

Lets put it like this, I see what motors and what kind of cars it takes to go 1.15-1.21 60ft and this car looks like none of them.

If it cut a 1.28 then thats more believeable but 1.15 is kinda hard to swallow.

I'm thinking he should post a pic of the slips lol. Got to thinking about it a little bit and my uncles 2400lb all moly top sportsman car (Ex Jim Yates car) only cuts 1.08-1.09 60's with a 632 BBC. So yeah a SBE LS1 should be a little more than a half a tenth from that LOL

I have seen his car go down the track a few times and it leaves pretty hard.
The 1.15 might be questionable because of the track it was ran on (75/80, I have seen some questionable 60' times come from there)
The 1.20 he ran at MIR I would bet is legit.

He has a th400 and the new Mickey, using all of his power off the starting line.
All these high HP 275 cars you guys are talking about (ours included) have 2 speed trans and dont use anywhere near there max power before the 60' marker.

Give him double the HP and I bet he slows down in the 60'.
The more power you have the harder it is to control... esspecially with a 248 first gear.

We been 1.15 with our car in 10 passes on the new mickey.
Been 1.13 with FBC's car.

Connely went 1.08 on 275's at holly springs last weekend.(BBF @ 3200lbs)

That new tire is REALLY good.

What was the R/T versus the 60'?

That will show if the beams were tripped by something other than the front tire.

Wayne,

The R/T versus 60' will still show the tale if it was tripped by something else other than the front tire.

That is if the video shown on page 1 correlates with the pass he ran said E.T. on. You can pretty much stop watch how long it takes him to leave off green or if he left off yellow on the time slip versus what the stop watch shows.

Didnt even know there was a video. LOL !!
I got ya, that would work.

I have stood next to it when its ran before.
1.20 60'... I wouldnt question that.

I was just trying to say that I dont think you need 1500hp to 60' that good.
