If this is on initial hit, could be fuel pressure drop. Hook up fuel pressure gauge and watch gauge on initial hit.

If your O2s are good throught the whole run, including the midrange, then you have too much timing. My suggestion would be to get the Timing Tuner. I had one and loved it!! I could run alot of timing on the motor (~31*s) and when the N2O system was turned on, it backed the timing out to ~25*s. Turn it off and its back to 31*s. Damn nice little toy, but $$$$.

Also, do you have an aftermarket fuel pump?! Thats a major thing if you want to run a 150 shot on a stock motor, let alone a H/C setup

no, i don't have an after market fuel pump on it yet. friend of mine is running the same numbers i am and don't have a problem , i already took tons of timeing out. i will jet down to a 100 and see what happen from there, if it clears up i will get a pump. just that it is doing it while my 02's are 920 and it doesn't happen all the time. thats got me confused to.

O2s can be fine, but still be out of fuel pressure. Get a gauge on there and check it out. On the 75 shot with my heads cam I went to 40psi initial hit with stock pump, put in Walbro 340 and stays at 68pSI now.

The initial hit is hard on a fuel pump. Even with my Walbor intank setup, I would see about 55-58 PSi on the sypray and thats cutting it close. Trust me, change the pump and youll be all good. The stock pump is good to about 450 HP (maybe) let alone the sudden fuel demands of a wet kit.

well, i jeted down today and hit it with a 100 shot, samething. it only does it on the second run and clears up on top. and sometimes it is fine all together. 02's were 930's and never fell below that on the inital hit. i will hook up a fuel gauge and see what my drop is as soon as i get a chance. just wierd, it don't do it at all on the first pull 0.0 knock retard. but after that it pulls up to 3.5 degrees out and you can here it.

the same thing happened to a buddy of mine's 01 SS with a GTP head and big cam with 100wet TNT shot. as soon as the nitrous hit, it just kicked the breath out of the fuel pump! the fuel pump cant catch up to the enourmous requriements needed for that tremendous amount of nitrous (now oxygen) in the combustion chamber. thost TNT kits are not even close to a true 100 Crank HP like other kits advertise. the 150 is closer to a 200 shot!

watch out!

The TNT kits arent measured at the crank! They are measured at the rear wheels on a FACTORY STOCK CAR!!

I hate to tell you, if you are hearing the detionation, and keeping in it, you may already have problems. Just dont know it yet I drove around for almost a year with 3 ringlands shattered and the oil land finally broke causing complete washdown and I still ran an 11.6 @ 123

Id STRONGLY advise to do a leakdown on all 8 to be safe. Detionation on spray means It only takes ONCE

That dont matter.. all my cylinders still have the crosshatches also. there was no sign untill I broke the last ringland, just a very faint rough idle. Nothing more than normal.

I pulled the motor apart and all the pistons looked perfect and all the bores looked NEW! I pulled out #7 and found this:

Just letting people know, Just because it seems fine, doesnt mean it is!

right now the motor is fine. but, i got some good info and couple other guys are saying they had the same prob and it ended up being fuel solenoid plunger being swallen, even when new, and lack of fuel pressure on the initial hit. i will check those out. thanks for the info guys
