Default BOTTLE MOUNT QUES?

DOES THE BOTTLE HAVE TO POINT TOWARD THE FRONT OF THE CAR? ISEEN ONE MOUNTED SIDEWAYS IN THE BACK OF THE CAR. ASKED THE GUY ABOUT IT AND HE SAID IT DIDNT MATTER AS LON AS IT IS POINTED UPWARD.

Jason;

Mount the bottle with the valve towards the rear of the car with bottom end of the bottle higher than the top. Since nitrous is lighter than air at sea level, it rises, so you want the bottom of the bottle higher, because that's where the pickup tube is.

All those other guys that mount it the other way live at high elevations <img border="0" title="" alt="[Wink]" src="gr_images/icons/wink.gif" />

Trust me.... I'm your buddy <img border="0" title="" alt="[Wink]" src="gr_images/icons/wink.gif" /> Really!

I'll mount mine the other way when we race, just to be fair. <img border="0" title="" alt="[Razz]" src="gr_images/icons/tongue.gif" />

Sincerely, your pal,
Scott.

Damn Scott, think that somebody will read your reply and not have the brains to figure it out is scary (only say this cause I seen a guy mounting his that way). With friends like that huh?

Although it does work sideways, you need the siphon tube in the bottom corner, which places the valve up. Also, during hard acceleration, sideways will affected by the N2O being pulled to the back wall-normally wont hurt, but need to watch this when the bottle gets low. All in theory though as I have seen side mounts pull awesome times. Good-luck.

Hey CAT3

J2KSS is a good friend of mine, and believe me, he's plenty smart enough to know I'm razzing him.

Did I not use enough <img border="0" title="" alt="[Wink]" src="gr_images/icons/wink.gif" /> and <img border="0" title="" alt="[Razz]" src="gr_images/icons/tongue.gif" /> to make it clear enough for you?

HEY SCOTTY SEEN THE BOTTLE MOUNTED IN THAT BLACK TA THAT USED TO BE YOUR FRIENDS AT TSS. I ASKED DANIEL ABOUT THE WAY IT WAS MOUNTED AND HE SAID IT DIDNT MATTER AS LONG AS IT WAS UPRIGHT. I LIKED IT BECAUSE IT IS EASIER ACCESS AND I DONT WANT TO BUY A REMOTE OPENER. <img border="0" alt="[punch]" title="" src="graemlins/gr_punch.gif" />

Yeah I can still see. The roll cage is more of a problem then the bottle. Hell, if there behind me, whats the worry? <img border="0" title="" alt="[Big Grin]" src="gr_grin.gif" />
