Nitrous tuning
-Garrett

It really doesn't make sense to me why there aren't programmers like that available in the LS world. Hell, if Predator, Diablo or even SCT made one for the LS, that would be bad ***. It would be perfect in a nitrous application because you could have your max effort NA tune, a tune where timing is pulled for a 100 shot, a tune were timing is pulled for a 150 shot, a tune where timing is pulled for a 200 shot, so on and so forth.

Example of fuel and spark control:

I use NOS Mini in this configuration:
Channel 1: Nitrous Noids
Channel 2: EFI COS5
You could in theory put both on Channel 1, but here is why I would not:
As soon as the window is active, COS5 is active. This means you get an immediate spark reduction. HOWEVER, as soon as the window is closed, you also get 100% of the spark back immediately.
So at that instant spark comes back, to keep the nitrous mix/combustion from tangling w/full spark, I add about 200rpm to the window on channel 2.
For example:
Channel 1: 3800-6800
Channel 2: 3800-7000
The 4 stroke engine will cycle that charge out and the next spark event should be with a normal air charge and spark value, but hey, we are dealing with aftermarket electronics and my $8k engine is not a test mule.
There are some guys they will say the retard should be there all the time. And I won't fight them on the fact that if the Mini fails, so does retard.
For a long time, I had the COS5 set on the arming switch via/ground relay. Or you could even put the COS5 on a dedicated ground switch.
All up to you, but I've had good luck w/the mini.
