beat a 911 with stock ls1 and N20?
just out of curiousity. Would I be able to beat a 2002 porsche 911 with just 100HP direct port nitrous?
I know I said stock but... I Dont know if it would be a major jump but i have a corsa exhaust slp y-pipe and an intake lid. Wanna know if I'd be able to take him on regular STREET TIRES.
What would be the highest HP shot I use with stock internals and so forth on a direct port N20?

It shouldn't even be a race unless you go up in smoke, go easy on the launch!

Well, you should be able to take him like everyone said. But it migh be closer than you think if the 911 is turboed and if the guy can drive.

Re: beat a 911 with stock ls1 and N20?
oh yeah ofcourse.. i was talkin about the turbos by the way.
What do I need to beat him? My car is set up as a street car no slicks or anything (just exhausts and an airlid so far).
When the N20 shot range goes a little higher lets say 175hp what would I need to do to make sure im not going to blow anything up or dramatically lose engine life?
What I should look into upgrading? :
fuel pump.. clutch...and ....???
(hope I wont need a moser 12 bolt)

Hey
Im pretty new to this too, but here is what I know. For the track, you will want drag radials if youre plannin on getting a good time, w/drag radials and nitrous, this puts a lot of stress on the whole drive train. But people have told me that, with the M6 any hard launches will run the risk of tearin up my stock rear. If you add nitrous, the risk increases and itll happen sooner. So I plan on avoiding the track until the car is paid for. I plan on running nirtous on the street occasionally, like say if I come across a 911 willing to race.
But here is the point I wanna make, with the M6 get the MSD window switch so at wide open throttle, you can set a range for the nitrous to come on and off. so set it to cut off just before you shift so you go easy on the tranny. when to turn it on? i am not sure i guess you decide that yourself.
When you first start spraying, start with a small shot so you get used to it and incase something does go wrong, it wont cause major problems. Then gradually go up.
O ya, you are going to need colder plugs. -8, two steps colder i think. and the guy i talked to from NX mentioned decreasing the space of the plugs from the firing point? O well thats basically what i know so far. I havent hooked it up yet but ill let you know when i do.

Re: beat a 911 with stock ls1 and N20?
what if I was to use the nitrous on 2nd gear and onwards that way the tranny wont take much beating when shifting from first to 2nd would that be ok for the stock rear?
Also what if I was to lose traction on 2nd gear and re-floor it (while the N20 is on) would that be dangerous?

Re: beat a 911 with stock ls1 and N20?
Uh, it shouldn't be an issue. I was trapping 122 mph with a wet TNT 100 shot in my '99 Z28 M6. With the stock exhaust manifolds, a friend of mine with an '00 Z28 was trapping 123 with a wet 150 shot of NX Express.
I'm pretty sure the '02 TT Porsches trap around 118 mph, correct?

Or you could always get an A4 LS1 and beat him from from a stop with stock internals.

You'd outrun a 911 - no problem. A turbo version might give you fits if he hooks, which is almost a given in a platform as well balanced as the Porshe.
