timing control questions
timing control questions I want to run a single stage @ 125 -150 plate system. What's the easiest way to run a nitrous tune and be able to have a aggressive all motor tune without flashing the tunes back and forth. Any controllers for this? Can I get by with pulling 3 degrees of timing and leave the fuel table and plugs alone? Full bolt on lq9, 36 lb injectors. Will be a plate kit. Thanks in advance
I prefer to use either efi live custom OS#5 if you have a 896/411 pcm or a lingenfelter box to pull timing. Without knowing where your na timing is its hard to say how much to pull but I highly recommend pulling more than 3 starting out. The difference in na power vs timing for a 125-150 shot wont be that drastic on most setups.

I was thinking ngk tr6 (one range colder) and pulling 3-4 degrees on a already safe all motor tune. Not ragged edge. And starting at 125 shot. I have considered the lengenfelter because it seems simple and I can just add the timing back in with it when it's not on spray.
With this lengenfelter box, can I set my retard on the box and leave it there. And wire it up to my arm switch? In other words can it be wired to arm the nitrous system and the control box at the same time to where everything is done with one switch other than a bottle heater?

Has there been any instances where the LNC2000 failed to pull timing? Since it does it after the ecm there is no way to tell if it is truly retarding timing. I purchased a HSW timing tuner awhile back but will have to make a harness and have been looking another option. Seems this is it.
Yeah it should work on your C6 without any issues.

LNC-2000 for C6 As others have stated, yes the LNC-2000 works with the C6 Corvette (2005-2013 MY Corvette). The only exception is the ZR1 Corvette (LS9 engine, 2009-2013 model year). On those vehicles the coil pack harness connectors are different so we have a product specifically made for the ZR1 Corvette (also used on the CTS-V and the ZL1 Camaro with the LSA engine). That product is the LNC-2001. The LNC-2001 is identical to the LNC-2000 other than the coil pack connectors.

We have an LED on the cover that indicates when timing retard is active but that would be hard to see from inside the vehicle. We also have a analog voltage output wire that tells you how much timing is being taken out. You can log that with EFILive, HPTuners, most other data acquisition systems or simply look at it with voltmeter.
