Question for nitrous guys
Got a couple question for you nitrous guys..me an a buddy are doing a build in his 02 trans am...stock bottom end 799 heads ls6 intake pretty good size nitrous cam stock ported tb stock fuel rails and injectors long tubes AEM 50-1000 intank pump..wen have a nitrous outlet MAF kit were gonna throw at it for now with a 200 shot..my main question is if we pull off the rail and have a good tune can we run 93 octane or do we need to add race gas to the tank..we want to do a stand alone eventually..
Is it a nozzle or plate? You can run pump gas, however it would be better to go ahead and pick up a dedicated fuel system and run something like C16 in it. If you have any other questions, feel free to contact me and I'll do everything I can to help you out!

There's nothing wrong with pulling off of the rail as long as you have the fuel pump to handle the demand. With a stock pump, we recommend that customers don't go over 150HP from their engines stock rating. So if you've already done H/C/I, that could affect the available fuel supply for the nitrous. However, if you're running a large in-tank pump like a 340, or multiple pumps like a Squash setup you should have no problem. But then again, you lose the ability to use a higher octane for your fuel enrichment.
