Default Lighting the candles??

I know these are newb questions but how do you light the candles? Its something Ive always wanted to do. What causes it? How much do you need to spray through the car?

Just a by product, many things can be variables such as exhaust length, camshaft profile and the timing you have in the engine. A real clean tune can get the candles to light but of course the more you spray and a couple of kits the better chances there is for the flame.

I see. So the odds of lighting the candles on a 150 shot are pretty slim?

Maybe if you have open headers and a clean tune it just mite do it. But don't try and tune for it or off of the flame. It's just by product. Tune from the plugs.

Google "beater bomb" and ask him how he does it. Make sure to watch some of the Utube videos of that thing while you are at it.

Or google Jeff Sitton "Hyde", or Kyle Huettell "Bad9er", or Steve Jackson "Killintime".

Talk about gorilla flames from those three...you'd think they were cooking hot dogs over the bull horns.

By "lighting the candles" you guys talking about a steady flame out the exhaust while spraying? I feel late as hell cause I thought that was just a fast & furious thing and didn't know it was a real by product of nitrous... lol. Now I'm wishing my car would do it lol.

Yes, research the names Martin posted. Mostly multi stage heavy nitrous use drag cars. No street car with full exhaust is going to light the candles lol

Yeah the beater bomb runs a 250 shot with a "half exhaust". Definitely makes the car less streetable I am sure.

Both of my turbo cars spit fire. And melted bumpers. And attract those pretty blue and red lights.
