Default Ls6 intake or a fast for a wet system.

Looking to put nitrous on my s10 150-200 shot. The drivetrain came out of a 02 camaro, and I wanting to add nitrous. Looking to go with a stand alone fuel system, and direct port. Stock bottom end just cam, arp head bolts, new lifters, pushrods, and gaskets. Would like to have my ls6 intake plumbed for nitrous, or would I be better to buy one of the fast intakes already done?

Unless you plan on spraying a bigger shot then the 150-200 that you mentioned, you will do just fine on a 78mm wet plate system. Would save you some money and much easier to do as well.

Thanks I'll look into the Nitrous Express, and Nitrous Outlet 78mm plate system. Since this is my first time with nitrous beside reading it on the forum. Any reason to put a purge, and gauges on a plate system?

Purge, bottle heater, window switch, timing retard box are all very, very good ideas. I put digital gauges on mine, but I like to be able to see the pressure without looking back at the bottle.

Thanks for the advise. Both systems look about the same. Is there much of a difference between the nitrous express, and nitrous outlet plate kit?

Both are great products. I have used components from both vendors with a lot of success.

Does Nitrous Outlet have a forum discount or any of the member a vendor for them? I can get a discount on a NOS system, but I like the hard lines with the Nitrous Outlet

As far as the intakes go, the FAST intake setup is going to make a lot more power over the LS6 intake. I see you aren't running ported or aftermarket heads, and if you were, I'd say 100% go with the FAST intake. I agree with some of the other guys about running one a plate setup. Both Nitrous Outlet and Nitrous Express offer a hard line 78mm or 102mm plate kit. I'm not sure if Nitrous Outlet offers a forum member discount, but I know Nitrous Express offers a 10% discount for forum members.

We don't offer a forum discount because so many of the forum sponsors are our customers, and we don't want to compete with them on pricing. But, we are the only ones who offer a hard-line plate system off of the shelf. A few of the accessories to consider for your system would be a purge, bottle heater, pressure gauge, and a window switch or progressive controller. I'd love to talk more about it with and answer any questions you may have. Give me a call today when you get a chance and we can work up an estimate on what all you'd need!

We can do a hardline setup for you easily. We have been doing them as request basis right now. Eventually we will have them as a direct order part #. Just give me a shout here at the shop and I'd be happy to go over everything. I also just replied to your PM.

I would stick to the LS6. If for some reason you get a nitrous backfire you're exploding a $350 intake, not a $800 intake. I have seen it happen.

I just used braided line, a lot cheaper if your trying to budget. The hardliners are good looking though, might do it one day.
