Default NOS service and quality sucks!!!!

Decided to add a small dry shot to my H/C set up. Ordered the 5177. One of the lines leading to the airbox was 1" short, and would not connect. Called the tech line, and was assured they would overnight a good one to me. Well, no line came today. This lead to canceling an appointment this weekend for dynoing. I also bought the upgraded hinged bottle brackets. The rubber lining that goes inside the brackets (four pieces) only had adhesive on two of the strips. What a freakin' mistake. I'll never give them another dollar.

On which car did u install. I never had a problem with the kit and everything was in there.
1 inch is nothing, you could have relocated the noids and made it fit.
My bottle is mounted sideways in the boot and still everything fits.
Adhesive is available at all shops for $1.4 thick double back.
Use some initiative, NOS is top notch for the price, FPSS, Pressure guage, Blow down tube etc....
You will change your mind once you start spraying

Yeah, he could have made it work, and he could have run down and picked up some adhesive, but I for one expect to get what I pay for...not order a "kit", then come up with my own rig to make it fit, then go buy parts to complete it.

IMO, it's always better to stick with a reputable retailer, than buy direct. The retailer is more likely to make it right.

If you have a 5177 kit and installed it yourself, you would know what I'm talking about.
You can set it up many different ways and use up the available lines.
as far as the adhesive tapes. If that would make you think the kit is crap, please do your motor a favor and yourself, take the system off and go back to watching movies
Sorry for the attidude but bashing a company over tape is very, very lame.

lol, I wasn't bashing the company, and I know the kit is not crap. I never said it was. But I'm not about to say it's the customers fault that he didn't get what he ordered. I think Max's dad is rightfully a little pissed. What if you bought a cam kit from company X, and it came with half the springs it was supposed to, would you just say "ah screw it, I'll just run down and pick some up". I don't think so.

He seems to more upset about the line then the tape. Look we all have had some bad customer service from all nitrous companies out there, at one time or another. We pay for a part, it shows up wrong and we want it fixed yesterday. I is amazing how many people will bash a company without given that company a real chance to fix it. I am not saying he does not have a right to mad.
just an opion

Welcome to the aftermarket world. Nothing fits, nothing works quite right, etc... Thats just part of it. I spent 3500 on aftermarket suspension **** and very little of the mounting hardware worked, I had to modify it to clear my headers, etc...

Just part of it.

I guess I've been lucky, I've spent about 6k on aftermarket parts and haven't had any problems. Including NOS.

At least someone gets it. The guys with the 5177 kit made correctly like it. The lines going into the air box were different lengths. If you follow the install directions, which tell you to first measure 3" from the back of the air box and drill a 7/16" hole, you will not be able to hook up a line that is over an inch too short.
I realize the aftermarket is imperfect, but I refuse to home rig a kit that I bought new.

I am in sales for a living. There is a saying that one should "under promise and over deliver" so that the customer has a greater chance of being pleasantly suprised as opposed to let down by false expectations. The bigger issue for me was the promise for overnight delivery, with no pull through.
