Default 150 shot plug read

62 N 52F 6.5 psi fuel pressure, 950 psi bottle, br7ef at .029", 22 degrees of timing. I have a good bit of variance in plugs. Need suggestions. Going to track tomorrow to tune some. Should I pull a little fuel to clean up the rich cylinders? Just don't want to go too far because #2 and #7 look good.

I dont have much help for you but looking at your sig I see the Stinger listed. Is that the combo being sprayed? Does it have a elbow on top the carb? Was this a stinger 2? Only reason I ask is because I have a new stinger sitting here and all Ive ever heard is how even distribution is. Looking at number 2 I dont believe I'd pull anymore fuel from that one. To me it looks like the rich plugs could use more timing to but that would hurt the clean number 2. Have you run a comoression test to compare cylinders?

Yes it is a Stinger 2 plate. No elbow just an air filter on top of carb. All cylinders are within 5 psi of each other on compression. I think it could take a little more timing but I would like to clean the fuel up and am unsure on what adjustments to make with this.

Two options here.

1) tune it safe for the most temperamental cylinder. Whichever runs hottest/leanest is the one you make safe.

2) find the cause of the discrepancy and fix it. If you trust the distrubution, start looking elsewhere. Things like different lifter preload, coolant temp in the head over each cylinder, spark plug gap per cylinder, etc etc

Option 1 is easiest and safe, and what most guys shoot for.

Personally plug 7 looks best to me, might add some timing in but very little. Plug 2 looks lean, 4 looks ok (tad rich but safe).

Plugs are too hot for spray. Try an eight or nine, non projected. Looks like it needs some timing. That will help with the richness. Four looks like pre ignition. And it looks like six wasn't firing. Check the coil and or wiring.

A br7 is just fine for a 150 shot.

What signs of detonation do you see on #4? It looks the richest to me and I see minimal signs of timing. If the plug was too hot, it would "burn off" and of the fuel ring, and we can see that's probably not happening based on 3 of the 4 very clearly showing fuel and #2 probably has a faint ring visible in person.
