fuel pressure with 150 shot at half mile
heads cam zex wet kit on a nozzle style..runnin a stock style walbro 255 and my fuel pressure is at 64psi normal driving and drop down to about 55psi when on full throttle. Ive been runnin a 125 shot (which i feel isn't up to full potential) but want to go to 150, is this enough fuel pressure or should I get a regulator to turn it up? I'm going to do a half mile event soon and want to run the spray is that going to be "safe" to be on spray entire time since mines activated on full throttle switch?

sure wish a notrous/fuel guru could give any insight......

Is there any pressure drop right now? Any reason to suspect a pressure drop?
A 255 will definitely flow enough for a 150 shot

made 432rwhp on motor. I never dynoed it with nitrous was also planning on getting a lingenfelter box to pull timing

You're prob getting pretty close to the limit on that pump- have you ever considered going to a dedicated fuel system? On top of freeing up more pump for your motor, you can also run race gas through it to get a little more protection against detonation when you're on the bottle. We have a few different choices that would work with your car, and each come with Deatschwerks DW200 255LPH pumps, and Aeromotive regulators. They are real nice setups, and with the reg it's pretty easy to get the fuel for your nitrous tuned in.

That pump is good for about 550 RWHP, maybe a smidge more with nitrous. I have ran nitrous through 5th gear in half mile events and been fine. Just don't hot lap it and start with the 125 jets to see if the car is happy in 5th (assuming you are a 6 speed car). If all is good pull a degree and step up to the 150 shot. If you don't know how to read plugs then it would be better to learn now than at the event. You should run a BR8EFS plug to keep from getting a hot plug tip in the back half.
Judging by the timing of your post you are attending the Heaven's Landing 1/2 mile? If so, expect to run around 150 MPH as the track is at a fairly high altitude.

thanks for the info, I'm actually running the no fly zone midwest half mile mayy 20th. Im an auto car actually so isn't as half mile friendly because of my gear set up but i did do 147.8 on motor only last year. I was too dot run BR7 plugs do the BR8's run even colder? this is a pretty daily driven car in summer time and so of corse not always on the spray.

Yep the 8s are one step colder from the 7's. Probably only run them at the event or they will foul out quick. I can't really speak to much else since you are an auto. Find someone that knows how to read plugs help you tune it in, preferably on a loaded dyno.

for sure well I have a set of 7's maybe I'll just run those we'll see...and I honestly can't remember, I didn't about 6-7 runs that day some from roll some from stop and actually they all were between 143 and 146 but I somehow pull that one 147 one off maybe a tail wind lol
