Default Questions on nitrous tuning vs N/A tuning

Thinking about a 150 wet shot for my 2000 Camaro. Car will mostly be n/a.

Instead of 2 separate tunes can I get away with a timing retard box or control box?

And what else should I get?

Or does it make sense to get hp tuners and run 2 separate tunes?

Obviously I'd get all your safety switches and purge kit, I'm mainly concerned about tuning and not blowing up the motor.

The LNC-2000 by Lingenfelter is perfect for what you're wanting to do. You can run the same NA tune you have now. When the nitrous is on, the LNC-2000 will retard the timing for you.

So basically a good n/a tune on the dyno then get some data on how much to retard timing?

I run ethanol free 93 octane with stock ls1 compression. I'm sure I don't need but a couple degrees. But if I ran your standalone fuel system for the nitrous and put 108 in it I probably don't need any retard.

I wouldnt assume that just because you're running a higher octane fuel, that it's ok to not pull any timing. That's a quick way to hurt something. For your initial runs on nitrous, you should pull at least the old "rule of thumb" 2 degrees for every 50hp added and go from there.

Ok. That makes sense. Not trying to make a costly mistake.
