Default Fuel system for cam only LS1

I have been doing some reading abut the limits of the factory fuel system and want to make sure I am on the right path. Will this fuel pump be okay for up to a 200 shot on a wet kit? I'm going to mostly run a 100-150 shot but I want to be able to go to a 200 if needed.

http://www.racetronix.biz/customkiti...c=RFPK-001&eq=

I am also wanting to go to 36lb injectors just to take some stress off the stock ones. I'll be using the LNC-2000 to pull timing when the nitrous is activated and the NOS controller for a window/WOT switch.

Yes, 200 shot at the most, so the highest rwhp that I will be putting down will be around 600.

You can do a stand alone fuel cell and not even worry about the stock fuel system.

Yeah, I could do that but it's $700 vs $250. Do you think that racetronix pump and hot wire kit will be sufficient?

Thats basically the same kit I'm running. I make about 600 rwhp on a 150 shot and have no issues. Fuel pressure holds so I'm obviously good

Okay, good deal. $250 sounds better than $700 for fuel system upgrades for now. I'll go with the fuel cell down the road when the car isn't a daily driver. How difficult was the install with that kit?

No bad at all. The wiring harness was probably the hardest part. It came with instructions so that helped a lot. I did the trap door mod for the fuel pump. I was paranoid as all hell cutting into the car and possibly hitting a fuel line lol. It went fine though

Haha I've read about the trap door mod. I think I'll go ahead and do that while I'm doing the fuel pump. It does makes me nervous to start hacking on my car though

Really its an easy mod to do, but you just go slow on cutting the door as those lines are very close. Nice thing is you now have a easy access door in case you ever need to get back in there

I'm not too sure yet. I've had my eye on the plate system from Nitrous Express for a while but I haven't for sure decided yet. I definitely want to go wet though just for future purposes, so that I already have the ability to spray a big shot if I need to one day. I know theres a lot of arguing between a dry or wet kit but I've seen lot of cars run and really like the way wetkits perform

You can loosen your tank straps before cutting the trap door to give ya another inch of clearance

The wet kit is better IMO. Especially on larger shots like a 150 or above.

98CayenneT/A, thats a good idea. Never thought of that lol

Makes perfect sense. Wish I would have thought of it instead of stressing out, and taking like 30 mins to make the damn cut lol

I cut mine yesterday.I bought a Dremel 3" disc-type saw. It made pretty quick work of that sheet metal. I went with the "hinge" method, so I didn't get near the forward lines (vent?).
