Recent Proton Plus wet kit reviews
I've had my eye on the Nitrous Express Proton plus kit for quite a while but haven't pulled the trigger, just trying to gather as many reviews as I can before committing to it.
-any recent users of this wet nozzle kit without any issues with the solenoids? Failed solenoids are my bigger fear with a kit like this so I'd appreciate any good/bad results anybody has had with this kit. I'd be using a nitrous filter.
Thanks

Gotcha. Well all I can tell you is that I own a NX single nozzle wet kit that's at least 10 years old and I've never had a single problem, so their quality is very good. I think the Proton is a great value for the user that wants to run smaller shots. I'll be curious what others have to say, but in my opinion NX makes great quality stuff, and I wouldn't hesitate to run the Proton kit if I didn't have my current setup

Yup, I do my own tuning so I'll adjust the timing accordingly in the 3500-6200 rpm range. I'm guessing that's a good range for the window switch settings based on quick searches.
I have a 2005 lq4, CNC heads, 10.78:1 CR, 226/231 .598/.605 lift, 1 7/8" headers with 3 inch x pipe, th400, 3.73, 3800 stall, 3064 lbs. Haven't had my heads back from the shop yet but based on last year's dyno, the same cam peaked around 6200 rpm with a tbss intake. Planning on a 100 shot but eventually 125 to maybe a 150 shot, all wet and nozzled. Giving this info out in case there are any specific recommendations based on my setup.

I ran the box stock proton plus at 100hp for a while. Best of 10.98 @126. Was 11.6 @119 n/a. Did one dyno run at 150hp and blew through the converter making 550rwhp. Upgraded the lines and fittings to flow 250+ and using a 102mm plate. Working on installing a stand alone fuel system once the car gets back from being caged. It's a neat little kit with more than capable solenoids.
