I was wondering what else I am going to need to make this kit work good. Here is what I THINK I need but dont know what to buy from or if I should buy it? So please help me out here.

NX Wet Kit (Single Nozzle)
Window Switch?
Activation Switches?
Fuel Pump?
Remote Bottle Opener?
Bottle Heater?
Gauges?

What do you think I need and should get? Where should I buy from and what else that might i need that i didnt mention? Let me know...

Thanks,

You might also want a fuel pressure safety switch incase your fuel system takes a crap and shuts off the nitrous so you don't go BOOM.
NX makes a GENX2 upgrade kit which includes that part and some other useful stuff like an auto bottle heater, blowdown tube, purge and nitrous bottle psi gauge.

What's the difference between an fpss and that?

The A/F switch watches your 02s and cuts the kit if you got lean...

The problem with a FPSS is that, if your fuel noid doesn't open, but the nitrous does, nothing would shut it down...cuase you would still have 'fuel pressure'

Ah, I see. So it would be good to have both to be extra safe then. Sheesh, the list just keeps getting bigger

That switch from DynoTune is kick ***!! I have a lot of his products-bottle heater, fuel pressure gauge, nitrous pressure gauge, twin purge system and I'm adding the A/F switch for my new nitrous system.

FPSS is an antique, and its gives a "false" sense of security. Like the other guy said, your fuel selinoid fails to open, the next sounds you will hear will be massive detonation, and then the awful "box of rocks" sound.

This is the kit I am getting.

http://www.nitrousexpress.com/Pages/GMStage1.htm

With this kit I have to tap all my own holes and stuff right?

The kit comes with...
Bottle/hoses/etc...

Additional Items I was going to be are...

Nitrous A/F Switch
http://www.speedshop.org/store/scrip...p?idproduct=84

Purge Kit
http://www.speedshop.org/store/scrip...p?idproduct=45
or
http://www.speedshop.org/store/scrip...p?idProduct=24
Which do you suggest?

And if money permits which I doubt it will lol...
Bottle Heater
http://www.speedshop.org/store/scrip...p?idproduct=17

Now my budget is about 800 or so, I am buying...

Kit=500
A/F Switch=180
Purge=90

Total=770

I know I still need a window switch. I read something about a digital one and the one with pills. Which do you suggest? And where would a good place to buy it be? What do these cost? I can scrounge up a few extra bucks here and there to get what I NEED. So do I NEED anything else? I will be investing in a bottle opener by next summer for sure, but what else do I NEED?

Thanks for all your help and hopefully I will have everything ordered by monday.

Thanks,
John Melamed

The heating element is the same as a bottle warmer, except it is just the pad, no wiring or relay or thermostat...

You could buy JUST the A/F Switch, not the one with a built in guage...Then take that saved money and buy a used heater and a regular guage...if you are really on a tight budget...

A bottle heater is a must. A purge kit and a A/F switch are safety items (optional - not necessary for kit to function properly). A WOT switch is a must in an M6 car.

Where do I buy a WOT switch and what is a good brand and which do you suggest? Where would the regular A/F Switch be without the gauge? How much do they run? anyone have a link I could check out for the A/F Switch and WOT switch? I was also wondering on the window swtich still... Which should I get? Any links to show me what u suggest?

Unit213 Do you suggest a bottle heater with wiring and relays as well or will that pad do me justice? Which bottle heater and WOT swtich do you suggest?

I have headers and I hear they make you go lean... So wouldnt an A/F Switch be a good investment?

Please get me some link and suggestions on what YOU "think" is good.

Thanks for the help once again,
John Melamed

So the WOT "DOES" come with the kit? I sure hope so cuz it will make my budget a bit easier. What about my other questions?

Thanks,

Yes.
http://www.nitrousexpress.com/Pages/faq.htm
"Q. How can a nitrous system be activated (a "happy button," automatically, or what)?
A. All NX systems come standard with wide-open throttle switches, however we offer an electronic TPS switch as well as a push button."

Don't skimp, get an automatic heater. The A/F ratio switch would be a smart/good investment.

Being on a budget is fine. I'm on one as well, but never skimp on parts that can save your motor, or keep you from getting MAX EFFORT out of your kit.

You may want to consider getting a Jimmy-Jams switch panel, and a WOT switch. I have both of them, and they are worth the money later down the road when you have a little more cash and want to go "top notch" on your entire setup.

www.jimmy-jams.com is his website.

Thanks for the help. With that Jimmy Jams switch does that allow u to hook what you want up to whichever button. Like the push could be my pruge, and the other 3 could be like activation/bottle heater/and whatever else? What else is needed to buy with that switch plate to make it functional? Does it come with the wires to hook it all up? Let me know. Anyone else have any suggestions on switch panels?

Thanks,
John Melamed
