agreed, check out my respose in the NXRICKY post.

I REFUSE to run this kit on my car, and I will NOT sell it since it would be morally wrong selling a KNOWN defective kit.

This has to be a platinum top ten mistake in my book

Not to rehash up old issues or anything, but did you end up keeping your kit? Or did you exchange it for something else.

I still have the kit with all the upgrades, but my car has been down now for a year + since Absolute Speed f'ed me over and never gave me my heads back. I have never even run the kit at all, so I don't know how it's going to do once I get the car running again.

I haven't been keeping abreast of the situation, so I was unsure if anyone on the board got the results they wanted out of it.

Dave, my car still revs out of control when it is in neutral or when the clutch is pressed. I don't know what is wrong with my car. I am getting 3 codes, System too lean bank 1, system too lean bank 2, and Engine misfire detected. My car runs ok when it is already moving but coming to a stop in neutral or with a pressed clutch causes the car to rev out of control. I have tried swapping throttle position sensors, Idle air control sensors and Mass air Flow sensors with a friend with the same car. I was told by an installer to try gutting out the cats. Other than more noise, the car changed very little. I have checked the plugs and they are not fouled. I think I only have 3 more options: Cracked intake manifold, leaking vacuum line, or defective MSD wires. If you or anyone have had a similar problem please give me some advice, 3 weeks without my car now, depressed and pulling my hair out.

Why on earth would an installer tell you to gut the cats to fix this problem!??!?!?

It sounds like you have a big vacuum leak, so start at the throttle and work backwards. Make sure the throttle is closing all the way, and if so start looking for lines unhooked, loose, cracked, etc.

Hey I found this,
http://www.ls1.com/forums/showthread...79#post5646779
Do you think this can be my problem? Same codes and same symptoms. I don't know much about the PCV valve, can someone please go into detail?

Yeah, that's what I figured. Did ANYBODY, and I mean ANYBODY get this thing to work right except for NX?? Geez man.

I guess I'll be stuck with it at this point if I finally get it on a dyno some time in a couple of months and it doesn't work out as well as I would have liked.

Did you ever dyno the kit at all? I don't think I even know anyone on the boards or anywhere else that has even kept it.

I didnt dyno it but running at the track the et/mph increases indicated more like a 90shot with the 120 pills in. It ran ok but just not what it should have been for a 120 shot

I'm interested in the Nitrous Express NXL kit as an easy way to get the safety of direct port without the complicated installation process. I have a '03 Corvette Z06 that is bone stock. Is the kit worth it? Did the problems all get ironed out? Does the fuel accumulator really work in resolving the "bog at initial hit" problem that some of you experienced?

Talk about bringing an old thread back to life. IMO save your money. If you want direct port do it right the first time and tap the intake. NX has some good direct port kits. You are asking for trouble with the NXL kit.

Yeah, I'm guilty of thread digging out the frame on this one. Thanks for the input, though. Maybe its best to keep holding my money until I can pay someone to do a true direct port kit instead of the NXL kit.

The NXl had problems when first released. I have sold many of them since they were resolved. Its a great system and looks sweet. However It is desighned for the guy looking for a system that has the sweet look of a directport but does not plan on spraying the higher HP levels normallu used when some one goes to a directport.

In anoither words if you are looking to spray 120-180 hp and just want the cool look this kit is great. If you are looking to spray 250 pluss UI suggest a real directport.
