Default Best looking A-Pillar Pods?

I’ve looked at AutoMeter stuff and their parts don’t belong in my car, unless they have something new that’s not listed on their site.

I looked at the RK Sport unit and it looks like the best thus far, is there anything else?

I’m probably only going to use two gauges (N20 Pressure & Fuel Pressure). I would like a full pillar unit though so it doesn’t look cheesed.

Thanks!

Jeremy

I didn't know there was another company than autometer?

Get the full A-pillar from Autometer, its not that bad. Looks pretty much stock, color dependant. Our cars arent exactly known for the Marblecake Walnut interior trim, ya know.

Ha… Yes I know our interiors are nothing special. I just don’t want to add something that will further degrade the appearance.

I’ll take a look at the AutoMeter full pillar.

I am running the full pillar and I think it looks great. I get compliments on how nice it looks all the time.

Does the full pillar only have a 3 gauge option? Or can I get it with two?

I run the autometer dual pod.. (Not full)

It looks like ****. Hard to see from the pic, but the colors do not match at all.

Is your dual pod the style that just brads onto the pillar mid section and leaves the lines on the end? Or is is a full pillar unit?

Anyone have better pics of these so I can see how they look from the inside of the car? I like the look of the gauges on the pillar, but not at the cost of super nasty looking pods.

Nice... I'll order that one, it looks pretty good.

Let’s talk about that laptop? What software are you running on it and what inputs do you need?

I’ve been thinking about building a custom little computer to display telemetry and I also want to try running LS1 edit on it so I can swap tunes on the fly.

I used a urethane bonding agent on mine, basically the same stuff that holds your windshield on. Fit fine and no screws. Tried epoxy but it would get tacky and let go after long days in the sun. Finished with a coat of plastic paint to match my interior color, and you'd never know it wasn't stock.

That is EFILive 6 which plugs into my USB port on the laptop.

I also use it for EDIT at the track.

The Autometer 2 pod stick on pillar does not match the 98 interior but it does match 99+ pretty well. I think it looks alright, here's mine.

Anyone have the lo-tek pod? I have one in my GTP and it's at least twice as nice as the autometer full pod that I had in my Trans Am. The autometer one is lame.. it fits over the stock pillar with glue or screws. The lo-tek one in my GTP is a complete replacement pillar and is even matched to the stock trim color. I think I am going to order a lo-tek one for my camaro and see if it's as good as the one I have in my GTP.
