Default Stuck on hooking up Timing Tuner to NX system

Hooking up a TT to a NX system. In the instructions it says to remove the ground wire and attach it to the gray wire from the TT. I did that. Then The white wire from the TT is where I am stuck. The way the instructions read isYour 12v switched wire for the NOS relay will now be powered through your arming and WOT switch.

So those of you who have put a TT in where did your hook up the white wire??? I have tried everything....., and I can't get the Solenoids to snap with the car not running and the ignition is on and the Arming switch is on. They snap if I put the ground wire from the relay back on the ground.

HELLP....!!!!!!!!!

Man that is how I got it. I have it spliced into the red wire coming out of the relay (which is the wire that comes form the WOT. l will check that connection to be sure agian. I have all the settings on 0 also on the tuner.

Another question.... Will the red light come on as soon as it detects a connection or do I have to wait until I run the Nitrous?

Sorry no info on spraying this cam yet just got the cam installed last week. I just took the kit out of my 87 Iroc and put it in this car so I never did it on the stock cam/heads either. I had to order a couple of jets today so I can run the 75 and 100hp shot. I plan on racing friday night so I will get you some results.

Thanks for your help

OK, never mind I am slow today.... I installed the TT upside down in the spot I picked and either I was playing with the delay buttons before the install or it came that way because it was on full delay. I looked at it thinking they where all off....but they where all on. I was checking the connection and I was sliding the wire back on the WOT switch and SNAP so I knew there had to be a delay thinger going on.

New question, the solenoids only come on for like 2 seconds and then go off. Is this just a thing the TT does just to tell you that there working when the car isn't running??

I don't know much either since I don't have any nitrous to spray (thanks to jerk filler guy...https://ls1tech.com/forums/nitrous-oxide/216514-nitrous-bottle-exp-date.html) But I assumed you just set the RPM dial to a whole number like 3000 or 4000 etc.......?? So if you have it at 6 that means it wouldnt spray until 6000rpms and if you have the stock pcm set up your not even hitting that... But then I look at that Setting page in the back which I really don't understand and I see where your getting the 3250, but there is no way of setting it like the upper RPM confg. You can't leave the dials that way....

I don't think it matters if your running the relay or not, it is just more safe and easier on the solenoids.

I just hope the TT is better quality then the instructions, there pretty vague, kinda leaves you out in the open. I have read through mine so much to understand them the paper is as thin as Toilet paper already.

But what do I know......

yeah the instructions lack.i got the upper rpm set at 6300,that was easy, but the lower part is bumfuzzling.i guess i'll just do it like i did before=launch and wait till it sweeps past 3k and arm it and i'm on my way.i set the switck to 6,2,3 but it still sprayed when i manually tripped the wot switch so it is definitely not working on low.atleast it is retarding the timing .

That is good info to know. I read and read them instructions and still I don't understand how to set the low limit. I am going to try to set the lower by the dials like it says in the settings but using the upper limit format. Maybe it will learn it self like the upper format. Hoping to try mine out today when I get a fill.

I called that number today and the guy that knows something there is Mike, BUT he was "out of the plant" when I called. SO I decided to take things into my own hands..

I rigged a maker light in the vent tied in with the Soilenods wire on the relay so every time the WOT swich is hit and the Soilenods com one the light in the vent comes on. I have my TT set for on at 3K and my upper limit at 6K. Well surprise, surprise came on just perfect. Works great.

SO if you set that RPM dial that is when the NOS comes on.......on the whole #'s. Just the upper limit you have to program in.. I think that settings stuff is for guys with blowers..

Later...

In the TT instructions there is a chart that shows all the settings. I think a 3k turn on is a #5 on the dial. I don't have my instructions in front of me, but I do believe that's the correct setting.

Yea I don't understand that whole setting sheet.

Hmmm, I guess I don't understand what you mean by #5 on the dial.. I had mine set on #3 on the RPM and it turns on right as my tach passes 3K.

I am going to have to get ahold of Mike at the number listed above to see what is up
