Can anyone tell me what is the best kit for a 5.3l that is reasonably easy to hook up and can anyone tell me whats a safe shot on an otherwise stock engine. Any help is greatly appreciated. Trying to get a kit before oct 16th.

I've been in the hunt for one too. I'll probrably just go with a universal TNT or NX wet kit. It should do the trick just fine, I don't see why the 5.3 needs anything special, just a -4AN fuel feed line so you can take fuel from the crossover on the rails.

TigerFan187.....what kinda numbers are you running right now, and what kinda track times? Just wanting to see if it's worth it to go with a nitrous setup now, or wait and save for the Radix.

I'm working on a dry kit which consist of a bottle, 14ft feed line, a single nitrous solenoid, a supply line from the solenoid to a NOS fan nozzle (part #13500)which is placed directly in the air filter. With the ability to interchange jets I'm gonna keep it under a 100hp shot. All of the part were purchased from EBAY for under $200, and it kinda mimicks the Compucar Street Heat Nitrous in a bag kit. I think its gonna be better because I have a braided steel feed line in place of the nylon line which comes with the Compucar kit. Unfortunately, I don't have any results as of yet as I'm still waiting for the solenoid and feed line. I've made a bottle mount out of plywood and 1x which slips inside the 2x4 cut out slots in the bed so I don't have to drill the holes to mount the bottle. I only had to drill 1 hole for the -4 line and I put a grommet from Home Depot in the hole around the line.
