Default Maf Vs. Direct Port

Which is more sufficient? Running on a 99 bolt on only car. Looking to do a 150 shot.

150 I would go MAF. If you want to go any higher in the future like 200+ I would go DP.

MAF kit will do fine even for a 200 shot.
I'm running 150 on mine with no probs at all.

Go with the NX MAF kit for up to 200 (possibly 250), anything larger you will need DP. With DP systems, their is ALOT more tuning issues. MAF kits are more "set it and forget it"

what would it take to spray 200 through this MAF kit, just jetting? Id assume I'd need some more tuning but what about the fuel system on these cars?

Fuel system upgrades should be done for any nitrous/forced induction setups.
The NX MAF kit comes with jets for 100,150,200 & 250, so it's just a matter of swapping them out. You will need a good tune for anymore than 150 (direct port or MAF), tuning is a good idea in any case though.

would a better fuel pump and some 30lb. injectors with a tune be good enough for a 200 shot? also, which pump would you recommend? Thanks

I have the Racetronix fuel pump/harness www.racetrnoix.com
You should read about this system, it's really nice. This pump will feed the need up to 700 HP.

You're stock injectors are fine if you go with a wet kit because you are injecting fuel and nitrous. With this fuel pump and a tune you can spray 200 just fine.

SO how easy is the install of this pump, I see its PNP for the 98's, never even looked to see what would be involved in a swap.. Cheap too..

Hmm, you have a 98? The steel tanks are a bit harder to deal with I hear. Mine is a 02 with a plastic tank so it only took a few hours to complete.

There are instructions floating around if you search the forum for racetronix install and racetronix also has very detailed instructions they will send you if you email them.

Its a very nice system though, and the best part is that he goes in the tank and is quiet. Mine really doesnt sound any louder than stock, unlike some of the inline pumps that sound like junk.
