How Many Of You Guy Are Running Your Nitrous Off A Button?
Like the title says How many of you guys are running your nitrous off a button?. Becasue this kit I have it is off of a button not a mico switch. Which one is better I have a A4 so take that into consideration and can I spary thought the shifts or should I have a mico switch???
Thanks Dan

Nothing wrong with a button if that's your preference. The WOT micro switch is a nice convenience for most. Unless you have a window switch that cuts off the gas before your shift point, I don't see how you'll not spray through the shifts.
I never had any problems spraying my old A4 for a lot of passes, through shifts, outta the hole, etc.

a button is a button is a button, don't matter if it's on the steering wheel, on a shifter, corded hand held button, etc...
push button vs. WOT switch, kind of like Ford vs. Chevy
I'm a WOT switch guy. We all have opinions.

I run a button on my shifter. I really like the option to get on or off the juice and still stay at full throttle.
Actually I run 2 buttons on my shifter a 200 hp first stage and a 100 hp second stage.
The buttons are great for launching, if I start to loose traction, I feather the juice and stay at full throttle to regain traction. Then I bring stage 2 in for second and thrird gear. I find that traction is different every run, depending on how the track was prepped, temperature, and how many imports spewed oil.

you don't really need a window switch on an a4 i know alot of people who don't use them. Personally i would go with a wot switch. Then get some nice tires and heat them up. When the light turns green flash the converter and hang on.

I have both a microswitch which turns on the nitrous when I floor it and I have a button in the truck. When I turn the button on the nitrous is only activated when I punch the throttle. I have had no problems with mine. I dont have a window switch either.

Need a window switch? Not an absolute. It is a GREAT safety device though. Two major things it accomplishes - doesn't start the spray until there's enough rpm and shuts it off before you hit the rev limiter which would pull timing and fuel. If you were spraying before those events there's a good chance of a nitrous backfire. Always smart to have cheap insurance.

Ditto! Great cheap insurance with a window switch. Also, you could use a push button no problem. As long as u use it with a WOT switch. Nothin like accidentaly hittin the button while not at WOT. The result is not for the financially weak.
