Default Blow Down Requirements to pass Tech?

Just curious on what needs to pass tech can you run braided line instead of the tube and so on so any pics of how you have it set up if not using the tube.Does it matter where it exit as long as its out of the passenger compartment?
Thanx BTLFEDSS

Yes, braided line is a legal way to vent nitrous. I made a custom vent tube using 3/8" aluminum and flared an ACE hardware fitting on the end. Painted it the same as my car and voila.

Here's a pic of mine. Just an -8AN 90*swivel hose end and some braided hose I had lying around. When you run it through the floor just make sure you put a hose clamp or something on the end (outside the car) so that the hose doesn't blow back throught the floor if the rupture discs pop.

I cut mine off since the bottle lays sideways at a 45 degree angle, it wouldn't go straight out the bottom anyways. I put a compression nut on the tube end and then a barb hose adapter. Just a little heater hose and a clamp, and "voila", the tube is routed down through the hole in the trunk where the rubber plug was.(this is where my nitrous braided line exits also). DON'T forget to clamp the hose end on the outside of the car, or you'll end up with some serious water wiggle action!

I have dual bottles mounted right behind where the back seat used to be and I ran flexible AN10 hoses to the floor boards which connect to firewall fittings than pass thru the floor boards,no problem with tech.

According to the tech guy here in Houston, you don't have to use braided lines at all. A 5/8" heater hose is ugly, but passes tech. You clamp it over the whole blowdown fitting. I plan to replace it, though - looks ghetto.

There's a pic here:

By the beginning of next season I think we'll see that change. It's pretty rediculous. You must hit NED? Street night tech seems pretty lax so I'm not even sure if they would enforce that, might see you over there in the spring.

GM Muscle,
Thanks for the pic - that is exactly where I want to mount my bottle, so that helps. I'm gonna put a bulkhead/AN fitting through the floor with a line just like you did for the blowdown - looks nice!

Oh now isn't that some horse ****! Too many goddamn dumb rules. I'm tired of wasting my money. I think I'll join the disgruntled street racers.
