I'd set your shift point as close as you can to where your cam makes peak power or just right before that so that you don't lose any shift extension.

They appear to be back ordered again. These are a very hot item. I had to wait 3 months when I ordered mine.

Like everyone is saying a 75 shot isnt anything, back in the day when I first started using nitrous I did the 75 shot and barley felt anything. Depending on how good your suspension is setup and how good your track/street is prepped is gonna depend on if you need it or not. We have numerous cars that do 250 plus on the street but its very well prepped. You can get the cheaper NOS Dial one for 300 but watch out they are very fragile, we have broken 2 already. This one only allows you to Dial in the start percentage and not the end. I bought the NX maximizer 3 or 4 years ago when it first came out and it was awsome!! It allows you to set your beginging and ending percentage, you can run a 2nd stage and there is a ton of other stuff on it, that makes it worth the price.

I wouldnt believe what everyone says with it not putting any hurt on a Solinoid, just feel how hot the solinoid is after one cycle compared to regular click open run. If it didnt hurt a solinoid, they wouldnt recommend having a extra solinoid in route in case of failure. It may never happen but its better to be safe then sorry. You would then probably want the FPSS incase anything happens.

If you want a true example of how it looks go to www.scandalousracing.com and download the trailer, when you see the Silver notch make a solo pass, you will see it looks like it leaves real slow then all of a sudded it looks like it is fast fowareded, its not. It had a progressive on it with a 325 hit rolled into around 2 1/2 seconds.

The new version of the Maximizer doesn't have any provisions for a true 2nd stage. The best you can do with it is imitate a 2nd stage with the individual gear profiles, ramping a different amount in each gear. For example, if you wanted the first stage in 1st gear, and 2nd stage in 2nd gear you can cut a 300 shot into 2 150 shot stages, 0-50% ramp in 1st gear, then 50-100% ramp in 2nd gear. I talked to FJO and NX and this is what they said. I love my Maximizer, but the more I learn about it, the more room they have for improvement.

well i do believe im gonna spray a 100hp shot but still wait on the controller until my bottom end gets built ( im geting ARP rod bolts but thats it bottom end wise), Once it is however, then ill be using at least a 200-250hp shot. we'll see how the 100 shot does and go from there-hell i might spray a 150hp shot on the stock bottom, i dunno!

I'm currently spraying 180-190 on my stock bottom end with over 70k miles on it. Haven't had a problem other than traction yet. Most people say you shouldn't spray more than 150 on stock bottom though. I guess I'm just nuts or something.

yeah, i heard that from lots of folks. Ill get that controller when i get up to 200hp shot or so. Guess im chicken or whatever but i dont wanna go over a 100hp shot on stock bottom. With that F14cam, LTs & 3in x-pipe, LS6 intake, Vig 3800, 3.73s usual bolt-ons and a 100hp shot im hoping for at least mid 11s w/ 315/35 bfg DRs, weather being good as well as my launching, etc. Think ill have the trap speeds to give me hope for high 10s w/ the right suspension setup and slicks I got BMR LCAs, T&R SFCs, and an SLP Torque arm so i think my suspension will be adaquate enough for decent 60ft times. 1.70s to 1.80s.

You should be a LOT more worried about fuel supply rather then your bottom end. When u do 150 - 200 you should be lookin at a new fuel pump setup or even do the cool guy stuff and make u a standalone fuel cell and pump for your N20 only.

Nitrous doesnt gernade engines, lack of fuel does. Ive seen some crazy amounts sprayed at stock bottom end cars(300+) Its all in having the right octane, enough fuel and enough timing bumped out. I myself have sprayed a 200 shot at my car for the past 2 seasons with a bone stock bottom end. I recently tried hitting 300 and it didnt like it because of the 110, I should of had 116 in there.

well i got the TSP fuel pump upgrade in-tank 255pump & the 28.8lb injectors and fuel rail.. I know my 98 has the 28lb injectors but i figured id get brand new ones since they are so cheap. Also got the gen-x up grade kit which has the FPSS, warmer, purge, blow-down tube and stuff like that. Thats good enough right? Or do i need more safety stuff? Im not gonna have a built short block for awhile though cuz the SS takes up most my car mod money these days.Plus i been outta work for near 2 months cuz of my accident so i need to get working again soon.(but the SS is my 1st love, it was my 1st high hp f-body i ever had. Before that it was the 88 formula & a 98 V6 firebird which both were quick but no where what i was lookin for. Luckily my dad helped out alot. to my Dad

I ran a 200 shot coming out of the hole on a stock bottom end and went 10.08@136.7 MPH on a shitty 1.56 60ft. If you don't believe me check out the March 05 issue of Pontiac High Performance magazine, on the shelves 12-14-04, my car is the NBM T/A with silver stripes. A stock bottom end will handle 200 but as alot of others myself included have stated you must make sure you have enough fuel, have the timing backed out and have the proper A/F set. Personally I think if you want to run a 200 shot you need bigger injectors and probably an external pump. My new set up ran a 9.23@149.1 MPH on a 1.32 60ft spraying a progressively controlled 250 shot, 30% out of the hole ramping to 100% in 3 seconds. Look at the wheel stand video from the Thunder Shoot Out last month, my car is the 1 dragging the back bumper 80ft down the track, that pass was a 250 shot 40% out of the hole ramping to 100% in 2 seconds.

well for now im just gonna run the 100hp shot w/ the f14 cam. i think ill hit my goal of mid-low11s consistantly on drag radials. i think my fuel system upgrade from TSP will be good enough for that. Ill get more serious with it once i decide to run 200hp or more. We'll see anyway!
