Default TNT Install Pictures

Took some pictures of the TNT F1 kit installed last night. Everything was installed by MADMARK and it looks clean. It was getting late and I completely forgot to take pics of the bottle installed. We mounted the bottle behind the front passenger seat (Back seats are removed pretty much for good). Car is in the shop being tuned yet again, but I will update with pics of the bottle mount.

I'm gonna be installing mine soon - question for you: How did you get the purge solenoid to mount there - doesn't the car have a belt tensioner? I wanted my purge solenoid like that, but seem to remember when I looked at the space the other day that the belt tensioner was in the way. Thanks for any help.

Looks like an Odessey (sp?) or hawker. I have a similar one that I got from a place called Thunderstruck, but I just checked their website and they aren't carrying it any more. It is an easy 20#'s off the front of the car.

fredv, the battery is an odysey with a custom mount that I made myself and as far as the purge solenoid, it's mounted to the bottom of the nitrous solenoid with a fitting that I got from the Nos purge kit. I don't think you'd have a problem mounting this even if you had a belt tensioner on, as it is outboard of all the belts. If I can answer any questions, leave me a message or just PM me if you need any help. To everyone else, thanks for all of the nice comments. Keep posted. Lots more to come on Ross' car - lol

Not my car, I just did all the install work and wanted to answer the questions.

Hey guys, sorry it took so long to reply, been out all weekend.

Black02WS6 and fredv. The stock belt tensioner was removed. The only thing the crank is spinning is the alternator. Madmark fabbed up a custom alternator mount with a turnbuckle to keep the belt tight on the alternator. I do believe the stock tensioner would be in the way if you wanted to mount the purge solenoid in that location.

That is in fact a Hawker Odessey I got it from www.gotbatteries.com. Mark also fabbed up the mounting bracket for the battery. The battery has worked very well so far.

the predetor, we plan on going with a 150 shot to start.

Thanks for all the kind works everyone. I really have to give all the credit to Mark for the install.

Sweet install man! I love my TNT F1 kit even if I only got to spray it 5 times before I destroyed a piston and everything else that happens with that(it wasnt caused by n20)! The cool thing is instead of that little 4.8 I have a nice LS1 in there now! It came out of a 02' Firehawk with 9k miles on it! Now Im gonna up the spray to 150! Happy Spraying!

We're crossing our fingers that dynotune can get the bottle heater shipped out to us by wendsday so we can spray the car thursday. Been pretty damn cold here lately and the bottle pressure is right at 600. Not even close to what we need to actually run it.

COME ON DYNOTUNE!!!

Hey dude, I got your new cell number. Been a busy couple weeks trying to get everything done for this thursday. If it doesn't rain we have a 90% chance of being done in time. That bottle heater from dynotune showed up at the door yesterday. I'll give you a call later on, if you have the time, perhaps we'll meet up on thursday if you can make it out there.

Took the car out last night to Irwindale Speedway to run the 1/8 mile.

Had a little problem with the rev limiter. It was accidentally set to 6450rpm instead of 7000rpm. We were planning on spraying till 6600rpm and shifting at 6700rpm. Instead we had to spray still 6200rpm and shift at 6300rpm.

First N/A run was 7.618@92.5mph with a 1.659 60' time.

The nitrous run results....

6.705@102.08mph with a 1.461 60' time

Not a bad gain for having to short shift it.

Even with the rev limit were it was the 150 shot netted 9 tenths, almost 10mph, and .2 better 60' over the N/A run.

I think there was a lot left on the table having to short shift it. Gonna set the rev limit back to 7000. More times to come.

P.S. The Dyno Tune Bottle heater ROCKS! Bottle pressure would dip down to the high 800's and low 900's and after turning the bottle heater on for 3 minutes pressure was back up in the 1000's.
