opinions on compucar nitrous in a bag

opinions on compucar nitrous in a bag i have been tooling with the idea of trying nitrous out on my 5.3L truck. nothing big. just a small shot to see if i like it or not. however, i don't want to get into a 1000 dollar kit and end up selling it for a loss.
is the compucar dry nitrous kit in a bag safe? I did do a search and found that a few people like these kits. i also searched on the mustang forums and the approval rating was in the positve.
i know the cheap route will cause you headaches if safety precautions aren't taken and will end up being more expensive if something breaks. so what safety features can you add to this kit without it adding up to a normal dry kit from NX or TNT.

One thing to remember is that nitrous in a bag is NOT legal for track use.
To be legal at the track the bottle needs to be bolted down and a blow-down tube needs to be installed (assuming the bottle is in the passenger compartment).
After you do that, you are pretty much left with a poor performing dry kit.
My recomendation is to just get a normal nitrous kit.

i know a few pep that have used it. my buddies A4 trans am went something like 13.25 @ 106 next pass he opened the gym bag up and pulled a 12.15 @ 116 i thought that was damn impressive! i think he paid like $400 shipped.
I had it my LT1. Contrary to popular belief the LT1 MAF/PCM WILL compensate for a dry shot through the MAF.
Anyways, be careful with the jetting. Compucar does not include HP ratings with their jets, which I thought was lame. Compucar also does not include ANY directions, again LAME. They rate their jets as: '4 cylinder jet' '6 cylinder jet' '8 cylinder jet' 'BIG 8 cylinder jet' and 'Kick *** 8 cylinder jet.'
Just the '4 cyl. jet' was good for 8 tenths and 8 mph in the in the 1/4mile for me, so about an 80 HP hit. The '6 cyl. jet' gave me 1.2 seconds and 12 mph in the 1/4mile, so about an 120 HP shot. At the 120 shot I was running out of injector pulsewidth so I didn't go any higher.
The kit was alright. Especially if you stay in the lower HP ranges. But it does not include any safety devices. Be sure to allow at least 6inches before the MAF for nozzle placement as not to freeze the MAF.
ALSO, I found the kit from an advertiser on a Mustang site for a little less than $300. I can't remember the name of the place though. It was 3 years ago. Wouldn't hurt to check the Mustang sites, though.
