Default anyone spraying with a Vig????

I was told the Vig wont handle a 150 shot, just wondering if anyone on here has experience spraying with this converter.

The vigilantes have anti balloning plates and can easily handle lots of spray.I believe they can take over 700 HP.Why not email precison but sure the answer is no problem at all. These converters are not cheap.Thats one reason they are ready to handle the nitrous. And guys have ran 100 to 150 shots on normal converters for years before people even new what an antiballooning plate was.

I dont know. I am sure they can handle some nitrous but I do know you can order a nitrous converter from them.

They told me my first converter wasnt their nitrous converter.. So I am sur there is a difference and a hefty one at that

i was told i need a triple disk, i have a brand new Vig 3600 I just bought off a member. I got a good deal and dont want to sell it to upgrade to a nitrous converter. I wont be spraying a 150 all the time, just when i have a big street race which I only plan on one or 2 big ones this season. I think i'm gonna sell the car in the fall so that I can get married.

If it has a restall, you may be able to get it upgraded for free. I don't know much about converters or if getting more disks is possible but I'm interested in upgrading my Vig 3200 to a higher stall and a more N2O friendly one as well.
Post up any info you get please

If you are the original owner PI will restall it once for free but upgrading to the multi disc clutch will be extra. I spray 150 on my PI Vigilate 3200 stall for along time and never had any problems with it. Their converters actually stall about 400 to 600 RPM higher than what it's rated at. My PI 3600 stall actually stalled at 4000 RPM and was abit loose for N20.

what does it mean when the converter is too loose for spray. I have a vig to and i am planning on spraying.

You guys are paranoid for sure.Everyone has been spraying 100 to 150 shots on normal converters even stock converters with no problem. The balloning thing happens at higher spray levels. And there are tons of peope spraying on the vigs on the boards with no problems.Their webisite is actually pathetic. From what I understood even the cheapest single vig has antiballoning anyway. But on their site it says nothing doesn't even say what advantages the multidisc clutches have over their single. For the prices they charge they better be ok for some spray.!!!!! I was sure I read somewhere maybe in high tech perf that they had antiballoning..I am intending to spray my single
vig and if it breaks with a 125 shot that will be the last vig I ever buy.!!

What I think the last guy is talking about is a stall speed is dependent on torque going thru it.More torque will make it stall higher. And vig have that rep for stalling higher than rating. So my 2800 likey stalls say at 3200 and mabye if sprayed will stall at
3500 or something. So maybe a reason if you are getting spray to run a bit lower stall than you would normally. But since spray only happens for a few seconds here and there can't see a big deal with this.
I wouldn't worry just spray the vig and it should be fine.I think you should be more worried about your tranny from spray than your vig converter.I plan on window switch to hopefully help a bit in that department.

well i hope they hold up.. because i have a Vig3200 and if blows out i'll get pissed haha.. How much would a restall cost if i am not the original owner? would a Vig3200 restalled to a Vig3600 make much of a difference with 3.73 or 3.90 gears? And if they restall them are they like brand new condition or what? Now i'm nervous about spraying nitrous haha.. let me know!

Tons and tons of people spray 100 to 150 shots on stock converters with no ill effects.Trannies go sometimes but not the converters. This idea of nitrous converters is pretty new. Also sure I read the vig have anti balloning plates standard. For the money these guys charge new for them if they don't they are a overpriced joke but even without unless going to 200 or 250 shot wouldn't worry in the slightest.
Look at all the guys on the boards using vig basica single disc with spray.Tons of guys.
Quite worrying..!!!! I have a 2800 going in and a 125 zex wet shot.I am a bit worried about the tranny will buy a window switch but not worried about the vigilante.
Their website is weak though and pretty sure read in other places they use
anti balloning plates in all their converters.Think it was hot rod or high tech performance.

Precision convertors will take a ton of nitrous with no problem. The only time you need multiple disk is if you plan on locking the convertor under full throttle.

a non nitrous application converter will not handle a lot of nitrous or a even sometimes the occasional 100-150 shot that is why yank and pi makes a converter JUST FOR NITROUS.but hey look at it this way if it blows you can buy a bigger stall!!
