Default Shooting in first!

I haven't even had my tires for 6 months and they are gone! What do I need to get so I can shoot in second instead of roasting them in first?

Well you can either turn the system on in second, buy a bmn RPM activated nitrous switch w/ first gear lock out, Or place a Install a micro switch on the shifter to lock out first assuming you have a m6.

I'm gonna get a BMN box when I set up my NX kit. 4.10s = no traction in 1st I'm assuming. I'll be sending ~515/595 to the wheels with N2o, so I'm quite sure I will not hook in 1st, even with MT Radials.

most sponsers such as speed inc, FMS, daves nitrous outlet have rpm switches you can buy, just go to one of their websites or call them.
BTW, i thought those M/T radials were hookin really well in 1st and 2nd even on big shot cars?

Right now, I'm NA with heads/cam, and when I floor it in first, it hooks MOST of the time. But with a 100 shot on the way, I doubt that it will stick.

Maybe I'll try it before getting the BMN box.

Yup. I love the MT's. Right now with the weather warm and the roads hot, she sticks.

But in December, WOT in 1st got me a little squirrely until I let out more psi (28 to 22) from the tires.

361/412 on M/T drag radials with 18psi ad a good burnout = a dead hooking 1.63 60-ft here

Default First Gear Lock-out

Here's my first gear lock-out micro switch. It's a three way terminal type (open/closed your choice). I run it in conjuction with a WOT ms but wired opposite of wot sw. That way when full throttle the system won't engage until pulling out of first. You can set this up with existing WS. I am using it on my 2nd stage only, and running dual ws and single wot sw for both stages (wired a little diff than explained).

Oh, on the track, yes, MT's hook hard with 19 psi for me after a good roasting. But N2o on the street with 4.10 in 1st will produce a different scenario I'm sure...
