Default Nitrous users producing 550 rwhp

If you are using nitrous and producing 550 rwhp or more on an
LS1 motor (5.7L). What fuel pump are you using? I'd like to know
because I'm thinking of buying an in-line pump to assist my stock pump.
I don't think I'm getting adequate fuel pressure.

an in-line pump is just a band aid as far as I'm concerned.

Racetronix kit is the way to go IMO

Ok, well....thanks for your opinion. I guess what I was really getting at was do I need to upgrade the stock fuel pump. I am producing 400 rwhp now, and plan to buy a 150 wet shot. That should put it at 550 rwhp. Should I upgrade the stock fuel pump? Or will the stock pump be enough?

At the least you should probably go with an aftermarket pump of some sort. An intank pump would work for the power you are making now and you can run off of the stock fuel lines. If you start making much more power than what you are now a sumped tank would be a better choice.

I'm running a Walbro 340 intank. If I had to do it all over again, I would run the Racetronix P&P.

racetroix is a nicer package, it includes the hot ire kit (thicker gauge wire to the relay)...you can just buy the Walboro pump for $125 and drill holes in the bucket, many have done that. The $250 for the racetronix kit is not a bad deal, since it all just slides in and you don't have to spend the extra $60 on the hotwire kit as well. I have just walboros in two of my vehicles only because the racetronix P&P kit wasn't out at the time for my applications. Get teh Racetronix piece and it will fit/install nicely and just plug right in. I push over 580 rwhp on a Mustang dyno through an auto with 4000 stall converter uinlocked....my fuel pressure is fine and I had to turn my KB boost a pump down to the lowest setting to keep from flooding the motor.

What SDB said, you don't have to cut up your bucket, the Racetronix setup is a true drop in setup. On the Walbro, you have to drill all kinds of holes into the bucket the fuel pump goes in & you lose the best thing about the Fbodies tank. With the Walbro, I don't like getting any lower than a 1/4th tank of gas. With the Racetronix you don't lose the little suction tube that puts gas into the bucket to keep your pump running cooler. The Walbro isn't really designed for Fbodies, the kit most people get is usually for a Mustang & you have to modify a few things to make it work. It's not hard to do, but unnecessary. The Racetronix is a beautiful design for a drop in setup.

Disclaimer, I don't like to go less than 1/4th a tank on any of my vehicles, but with the Walbro is really concerns me.

i'm going to jump in....I'm tight on $$ for my set up and I can get Walbro pumps discounted. Is there any bad reason to use the Walbro 255?

what is this $60 hotwire kit that SDB talks about? Can't I just wire it up without a kit?

Because it maintains the factory bucket functionality and is fully PnP plumbing and wiring wise.

Racetronix is nicer setup, but on a budget a Walbro 340m will do the trick. I dont run a hotwire kit, but putting over 376 motor and nailing 175shot without any hint of leaning or lose of FP.
