Default Redynoed the NX Dual stage controller on RevX 408

Last time we made 760 something rwhp going very rich. We changed the jetting around a bit and put 110 in the main tank and 110 in the Nitro Daves stand alone. Car made 465 rwhp NA on the 110 very rich with some timing pulled. But on the juice it really really really kicked like a friggen MULE.

It still has quite a bit more in it. So it made 465 rwhp on motor with the nitrous fuel and tune....and 869 rwhp on juice. Thats about a 405 rwhp gain. Im sure 900 would not ba a problem. The dyno operator got out of it a bit early...we only spun to about 6100 rpm. The dyno run only lasted about 2.25 seconds. The rpm pickup was acting up so it was tough to get a TQ reading. But it was around 700-780 for most of the rpm range. Again...this was through a T56 with a 9 inch rear and 3.90 gears. SPEC stage 5 clutch.

Im certain I can make 1000 on my combo.

That's awesome!

Forgive me if you've already posted them, but what are the specifics on the bottom end?

This is the setup. 1st stage dry on at 3200. First stage dry alone has made as much as 740 rwhp at 96% injector duty cycle and about 800 ft lbs Tq. Second dtage is NX DP 80000EFI kit. COntroller is the NX/FJO dual stage controller. Nice little unit for about $300 or so.

The bottom end is a Revxtreme built 408 with Callies crank and basic stuff otherwise. Im not sure of the rods or pistons. I think they were Callies rods and JE pistons. Motor is about 10.8 to 1 compression. Nothing extraordinary. Its all about control of cylinder pressure and the correct tuning/octane.

Car is dialy drivable. The most driver unfreindly thing is the spool. Other than that it has AC and all power stuff.

incredible car. more impressive in person. crazy how stock looking it is. heck it sounds like a basic head/cam ls1. then the whoopass hits ya!!!

its awesome how far the tampa boys and RX are pushing th nitrous combos. 700 rwhp is not even a challenge anymore.

how much nitrous does that monster eat at a time? I'd guess you don't get much more than 1 run out of a 10 pound bottle, but you are doing the push thing right?

Actually its a 15 lb bottle and id bet it would last 3 or 4 full runs since it has the push system. On the dyno is hardly uses anyrthing. The dyno run was over in 2.25 second.

At this level its roughly a 405 shot in stages AND progressive.

Man that things a beast...The Torque should be atleast around a 1000 or more depending on the combination.

How bad is the turbo lag? Does the supercharger get hot in the summer? Does the blow off valve sound cool?

God, the F.I. guys are going to be pissed when they see a nitrous car with numbers like this on a dyno (I assume they are allready used to being beat on the street and track by nitrous cars)!

Great results

Actually Dave the TQ was around 700-780 rwtq throught the run. That was the goal to keep it below 800 ft/lbs to limit that cylinder pressure and keep the gaskets sealed. It also allows us to use 110 octane. If we go for more power we will use the 117 octane nitrous fuel in your front tank to get that Tq level up to 800 ft/lbs at X rpm and that will spit out the bigger HP #. For me Tq control is the name of the game to make things live.

I plan to test that theory to its fullest with my motor and the NX Maximizer II with the RPM based setup that can be utilized. Dan motor only spins to around 6500 or so. Mine will spin to 7600 and be sprayed strictly by rpm. Whats 800 rwtq at 7000 rpm? = 1066 rwhp

Strip...hell, everyone knows that cars that dyno over 700 rwhp only stay on the dyno. Pretty soon, it will be "we had 18 people on the trunklid to hold it down, and still spun the damn ET Streets on the dyno, we made some adjustments, and wow, it put up good numbers. I was thinking of driving ot ont he street, but it was acting weird, so we stuck it back on the dyno. Does anyone know what code P10192838734 means? I put a bigger blow off valve on it and boy does it put up some good numbers now. I cant wait to get it onto another dyno at a sponsprs dyno day so I can strap it down again. That racing on the street next to another car from a light stuff is SO childish and immature. I predict that IHRA and NHRA will go to strictly dyno numbers and not actually have to race anymore. Man, I played with the eddy current and got 10000 rwhp today, although it was only from 5000 to 5100 rpm. Damn, I can't wait to get some better numbers. Man, I just found out i can get a 1/4 mile time on the dyno, I NEVER have to leave again....I am having some custom made chrome tie straps made so I can be ready at a moments notice to race on the dyno.

poser mobile out-

p.s., yes I know I am a big dick.

If that thing doesn't run 9.30's something is wrong. Or it will indicate the time to switch to a TH400.

Wow, sarcastic, but funny. I have a feeling that this is not going to be a dyno queen.
