Default Does every 100hose shot of nitrous equal 10,000 miles>>>

I have been thinking about getting a nitrous set-up to shoot no more than 150. Then I had a guy tell me that ever time you spray a 100 shot it adds like 10,000 miles worth of wear to your motor. Is this true or some BS? My car has 124,000 miles on it, but didn't have any ring grove at 118,000. Is it safe for high milage. I'm willing to learn. Teach me what I need to know.

Who ever told you that is full of . Most of us believe that in fact it's the easiest power adder on a motor, because it adds extra clyinder pressure only on demand, not all of the time.

If that's true then I should be proud of my car, it has around 300,000 miles worth of wear and tear, and it's still running like new!

Ignorance is bliss, whoever told you that does not know what he/she is talking about.

umm whoever said that is a MORON! friend has a 98 TA with 150 shot, been sprayed I dunno how many times. It has 45K miles on it, most of which are 1/4 mile passes. Hell nitrous removes carbon buildup

Yep, moron alert, moron alert!

Proper nitrous use puts a little more momentary strain on your components, but does not "wear them out". Hell, it'll take miles OFF your chambers by cleaning them out!

If I lost 10K miles every time I sprayed, I'd have over 5 million miles of wear on my engine. I have been spraying my car since 36K miles and I now have 93K miles. Not a single problem with the engine. Now the tranny and rearend are a whole other story. Almost everyone knows basically what nitrous is, but not a whole lot know the truth about it. Too many people buy into the that unknowing people like to spread.

What all safety instruments should I buy with my kit? I have been looking at either a Nitrous Outlet wet kit or a NX wet kit. My car has a 218/224 112lsa, 350 turbo(3400 edge), Moser 12 bolt, and most of the bolt on's. Help me out I wanna go FASTER!!

Read the stickines and so a search, safety items have been discussed more times than you can imagine. Basically, you should run at least a window switch (especially if youre a manual), WOT switch (most kits include these nowadays), and a fuel pressure safety switch IMO.

Damn, you got me Dave!

Well, two of them seem to *never* leave the garage and stay under covers, so there's really only three that have any chance of getting dirty.
