Default Rough Startup after N20?

I made a quick run the other day and after that is seems the car starts a little harder. Nothing seemed wrong during the run or after. The car idles smooth and still runs fine no odd noises. My car is pretty stock only bolt on stuff, I do run TR-6's. Any ideas? Anyone else experience this? I was wondering if I maybe fouled a plug or something. Guess I need to pull them or hook up a monitor to it and see if anything is off a little.

can be dumping too much fuel which can be fouling the plugs up...have you had it on the dyno to see where your a/f is?? when it starts up does it blow any black smoke from tail pipe??? if yes, than your dumpin fuel...if not than your not getting enough of it at start up, could be a fuel pump issue if your still on stocker. just some suggestions...goodluck with it.

Ha ha it is a wet kit. I haven't made it to the dyno so I'm not certain of the air fuel ratio. But in HP Tuners long term A/F looked good. I do have the stock fuel pump and I'm running a 100HP shot, there doesn't seem to be any smoke at startup.

TR6 Plugs will burn cleaner with a tighter gap (.030-.035). You did close the gap a little?

Yes I gapped them at .35, also it's not that rough of a startup just a little harder than normal......it's not like it's turning over and over still starts right up just a fraction longer and rougher than ususal.

LMAO...just be happy it starts!!

it may be a little longer than normal..plugs might not fire up right away or it could just be in the tune itself, **** like that...its no biggie...i thought you were sitting there with an excessive crank before it kicked over...if its just a fraction longer, i wouldnt worry about it.

I have the same problem but it does crank exsessively sometimes, around 3 seconds or so. It doesn't do it every time and it started after I replaced the fuel filter.

As for reading the plugs, Cat3 is our resident plug reading expert. I think they are ok. Maybe a leaking noid? Do you purge your n2o off at night? You can check both easy, fuel: is the line wettish in morning (out going), and n2o: does covering the end of outline with a dab of spit reveal a bubble. You'll know right away.

I do not leave pressure in the lines I close the bottle and purge. I thought they looked OK too.

I'd take 2* of timing out and lean it out some.

They look a little rich. Hard to tell though. You need to pull the plugs right after you spray to see how it runs on the spray.

If you can get a clearer pic of the plugs will give you a better analysis, and yes, please do it this way:

With a spare plug or few, make a run, turn off onto the return road, shut down, pull plugs (store w.o wiping them off onto anything) replace with spare plugs. Take pics and email them to cat3n4@gmail.com subject plug reading, or post up here. I mention email as you wont have to downsize it any. The ones posted, appear either brownish, which is acceptable from nitrous, or mix brown with rich, the sooty black powder. Evn though its rich, doesnt exclude presence of detonation, but I cant tell from the pics posted, as well the timing marks seem obsure.

OK They are brown for sure not black, my camera sucks at Macro photos, that was the best I could do. Guess I'll change the plugs. out anyway.

Redish brown is normal, as is whitish (not powdery though), the coloring is from MMT, gas additives.
If you put a new plug in say cyl #3 (easy to get to) at the track, go make a run, shut down, swap out, take pic and send it, I will be able to tell where the timing mark is. I prefer the timing to be about the middle of the Grounding Straps arc, or slightly towards the plug depending on shot size. TR series plugs are great for this, as when they are new, they provide an excellent timing mark & burn pattern.
