wonder if my car would count if it runs 8's

I am hoping to beat the 8.5 mark. I will be running in the outlaw class though because I will weigh in at 3000lbs. I have been a 5.83@121 so far and that was with a hurt motor and not alot of spray. I will be spraying a dual stage up to 700 Wilson Manifold plate. We will see how it plays out at Thunder. I might not hit that goal but you have to set one for yourself. If I go faster then that I will have the record I am sure. These times will be on a 410ci solid roller with 241 casting LS1 heads ported by CNC. PG and a 9in with all the wolfe suspension. I have gone a best of a 1.30 60ft but I am shooting for a 1.25 or better.

All I know is you nitrous cars today better step it up A LOT!! I went 9.40 2.5 years ago with a smaller motor, a lesser shot of nitrous and much heavier weight and an outdated combo than all of you guys!!!!! I would have expected the majority of you juice heads to be well into the 8's by now!

I race.. I just dont see the point of spending $1500 in traveling to win $800.. Explain to me how that is logical. At Thunder. I will be there.. Just a heads up I missed Thunder by a week, the car was finished we went out the following Friday and went a 9.5 @ 120 letting off at the 1/8th.. First pass ever... So I think I had the X/M boys covered.. At 3550...
Tony and every single person from Houston has seen my car run.. They know what we are capable of doing...

X/M at Thunder had the number one qualifier at 8.9. My point is running a time trail number and going rounds at an event is two completely different things. Maybe you have the fastest nitrous car right now, maybe not. When you're quick, sometimes it's a bit classier to not act like it's your first time.
I personally hope all the nitrous cars can step it up a notch. It would be nice for any one of us to represent. To further Mike's point, ARE set the mark a couple years ago with their 8.5.
As I said before, if it takes some smack to get guys to come race, then I'll be the last to discourage it.

come to the events boys and lets see ya get it done, we can all sit here and argue what ya did here or there but lets see it lined up at the same track and see how it turns out, cus it will give us a reason to turn it up if there are cars there
so come to MIR and help the series grow

The payouts arent big enough for me to come out there.. Thats close to you.. thats FAR from us...
Nobody understands thats the biggest part of these races... It cost more for gas, fuel, hotel stays, etc.. for people to go out there. The payouts are not big enough for X/M.

ESP Id love to come to the east coast shoot out, but I did do some math just now, which doesn't happen that often. It will cost me roughly ~$600 or more for fuel for my diesel truck (2800 miles round trip). Two or three days in a hotel ($80 a night), $160-$240. Race Fuel ($80 or so) and Nitrous (8x Bottles ($33 or so a pop, $264). Then we have to buy lunch, breakfast and dinner. So it adds up really quick. I do not have a shop or anything to write this off on. This is all out of my pocket, and some of my parents (if they are willing to help me). Its over $1100+ not including food, to win $600-800. I can't take a loss like that. I would rather goto the Casino which is only 3 hours away and blow $400 because atleast I can make that money back maybe
