You are asking one switch to do two totally different jobs... Can you re-explain what you are doing....

This is for a line lock.

I want to have one switch that will close and line lock and complete the circuit to keep it locked. Then I wan to have a button that can be quickly pressed to release the line lock even though the master switch to arm the lock is still on.

Is this possible?

sure get you a normally closed (mon) monentary push button... So you flip the switch and line is engaged. then you can push the button or turn the toggle off and the line lock dis engages...
BIG PROBLEM with this..
once you release the button the line lock will re-engage.
the normall way of doing it is just like a purge noid... Push the the botton the noid is engage release the button and you are good...
You line lock vavle is a normally open solenoid... You could just run a hot wire to the line lock button and then to the line lock noid...

No problem, I'll try and draw one up over the weekend for ya. If I forget, send me a PM and remind me, cuase I'll have the Bears game, testing, BBQ's, flying lessons, and some other stuff goin on too.

From what I get, he wants to **** the hammer with the arming switch, then when he hits the button he fires untill he pulls the hammer back again. Revolver style for his line lock.

OK, didn't have a lot of time so I had to hand draw it to make sure u got it.

Switch/button #1 will arm it(put 12 volts on the output), when u push it. When you push switch/button #2, it will let loose by cutting off the power to the output. Just one relay and two momentary switches. Show this to the guy are radio shack. Even he will know what this is.
