Which gears with a 100 shot 6 speed?
Between 3.42 and 3.73
With a 6-speed it's more a matter of getting through the traps in fourth gear, so it all depends on what your trap speed is going to be.
If you're going to stay stock with a 100 shot, then the 3.73's will be better for you.
If you're going to do a N/A build-up on top of the 100 shot, or go up to a 200 shot, then 3.73 may end up too much.

i went 10.6 @ 133 with my turbo setup, 6 speed and 3:73 with a 27" tire

3.42 reason being you cannot shift fast enough to stay off the rev limiter with a 100 shot
Next on street tires anymore gear is going to spin worse
Nitrous makes a bunch of torque and that is what gets you moving a 3.42 gear will keep you in your torque range longer and you will shift less

and you will shift 4 gears in the 1/4 weather you have 3:73 or 3:42's. so the shift less theory is gone.
if you drove a car with 3:42's and then 3:73 you could barly tell anything was done.

As for the shifting everyone skill level is different. You can get around the limiter with a window switch to be safe and not have a bunch of broken rocker arms. On the gas I really don't see it being necessary to change gears. Just some sticky tires and a window switch.
i agree on the 12 bolt thing tho

On the 4.10's, on the Z06/M12, 1st is geared like having 4.10's, second is like having 3.90's, third is like 3.73's and fourth is back to the stock 3.42's, pulls like a *****, and has a killer top end. Yes, when spraying the shifting better be done quickly as rpms come up fast. I have my limiter set higher than stock 6800rpm. Something to keep in mind, when going to 4.10's, because of the additional teeth on ring/pinion it is actually weaker than a 3.73/3.90 gear sets with bigger less teeth.
